Greetings, I recently purchased a 280Z and want to put a V-8 in it. I live in the Dallas Texas area does anybody know who does this kind of work? Can do some work myself but limited experience. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Congrats on the purchase of your Z! The best place I know of for information on V8 conversions in Z cars is HYBRIDZ. The HYBRIDZ web site has an astounding amount of knowledgeble members as well as tons of information in their post archives. They are all about putting V8 (and other engines) in Z cars. It will be well worth your while!

The first thing to do is buy the conversion manual from http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Datsun_Z_V-8.html and read. Many questions will be answered and many mistakes avoided.

I just bought my LS1 and t56 Borg warner 6 speed for my Z yesterday!!!! Can't wait to get it going!!!
