I get an all paid 2+ week "vacation" to S Korea leaving on the 15 of Feb. Weekends in Seoul, weekdays in Gumi city. I'll be staying at the Grand Hyatt in Seoul, anybody been there and have any suggestions for something to do while there??? I figure I can find the red light districts and trouble in general, easily enough on my own so I'm looking for some sights or shopping????? Z stuff???? Something to fill my time in a place I don't know either the lanuage or well anything else!!!!

Oh, BTW, "vacation" is the joking term use at work meaning going kicking and screaming all the way! I don't want to go but well it's part of the contract, engineering support to Next1 (LG) setting up a production line building our radios....

Good news is the guys that have been there say there is a computer available at both work and the hotel to get on line with, so I shouldn't miss much here!

My best friend did two years as a Marine Security Guard (MSG) at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul. He loved it. I'll ask him if he has any suggestions.

You'll probably find it easier to get online while traveling from a city in Korea than you would a city here. The internet is a much more pervasive part of their culture than in our own.
