My fuel flap lock doesnt work with my key.

And further more even if my key did work the "crank" bit of the back of the lock wouldnt engage the latch on the car- It looks like some one has put a door lock into it!

My q is:

I'm getting this lock changed by a locksmith so it will fit my key BUT if i put a fuel flap crank on the lock will it work as normal- even if it is a door lock?(ie is the lock bit the same?)

Nope. Similar to a door lock but shorter i think.
