Posted July 22, 200420 yr comment_88495 Hi Everyone,I've just sourced a new-old stock 240 centre console. I don't ever want it to crack around the choke lever mount so I was thinking of mounting the choke lever directly to the transmission tunnel rather than to the console itself.. I've heard of people doing this before, but never actually SEEN it, does anyone have any photos / descriptions of brackets etc they have constructed to mount the lever? July 22, 200420 yr comment_88498 Hey, I've just found a NOS console too...! I want to avoid the same problem and the person I know who has addressed this issue is "nr240". He made up a fairly simple bracket to support his choke lever...I saw the actual mounting the other month when I visited him but I'm sure he would have a photo if you pm him. July 22, 200420 yr comment_88505 I have done this on the 260 when I mod'ed the console.I just used a piece of right angle mechano type metel [slotted angle for those to young to remember mechano].Not a difficult job, makes one wonder why the factory didn't adopt this approach?MOM Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12614-choke-lever-help/#findComment-88505 Share on other sites
