Hello, sadly my 1971 240z was involved in a bit of a prang and I am in need of some front end body parts which are proving to be somewhat elusive.

The parts I require are:

Bonnet

Front right and left guard

Indicator clusters both left and right

Front bumper

Front apron

Radiator supports.

I have put in a fair bit of work into the mechanical side of my z, too much for it to go to waste so it would basically seem that i need a front cut or a cheap parts z. If anyone has\can tell me of places that would have what I am after I would appreciate your help. I live in Canberra (which just adds to my sadess ) but am prepared to travel for parts.

How strengent are the inport laws in Canberra from the US on used parts? I know that when I lived in Brazil you weren't allowed to import anything used and anything new had about a 50% terrif.

I think the cost of freight from the USA may be prohibative.

Could anyone clarify weither I could use 260z parts (particularly off a 2+2)? Apart from the obvious differences with the indicators etc is there any variation in sizes or mountings?

I might just have a 260 2+2 for a parts car soon. If the panels are suitable for your 240 I'll be quite willing to sell them to you cheap. No idea what freight from NQ, to the ACT will be like though.

Check with your local Customs as I belive auto spares for vehicles over 30years old are duty free - still have to pay the GST though
