Factory radio?

Featured Replies

Yes, that's the original factory radio. Does it work? It sure is primitive by today's standards, eh? A manual button to run the antenna up and down and you have to use one of the preset buttons to switch from AM to FM.

Sure looks original. Are you going to use it? May be worth a few bucks on Ebay...

I pulled one from my 73 to put in a CD player, then left it in the garage when we sold that house:stupid:

The 72 FR 240Z didn't come with a radio and I finally located one from a guy in Texas. Paid a hefty price for it too. Installed the radio in the car, was ready to listen to some tunes and come to find out there is no speaker in the car......duh. :stupid:

How much would it cost to get a CD player installed?

Would it go into the glove box, like how people used to install old 8 tracks into them?

Some places like Best Buy or other local installers around here do a deal that if you buy the radio through them they install it for free.

That is something I am looking at now..having a CD player installed where the original radio was...also looking at Sat radio as well...hate commercial interruptions of music...

What I am wondering is if a DVD player will fit in the glove box area, using the glove box lid to cover it but gutting the glove box area...
