Posted February 8, 200421 yr comment_67570 I tore out my headliner and pillar vinyl to redo my interior and now I'm not sure how to proceed to reinstall the pillar and front windshield vinyl. I remember tearing out some welting along the inside flange of the pillar but I don't know how to get it back in there. Also, how the does the vinyl above the windshield meet the side vinyl (is it folded over?). I know I should have taken pictures, but now I'm so close to reinstalling the windshield I need to get this overwith. Thanks. February 8, 200421 yr comment_67600 Yes, your assumptions are correct. The vinyl is folded over where they match. And, the vinyl has a small amount of foam padding between it and the metal above and on the sides of the window. The vinyl is glued and wrapped around the metal edges in that area. You might want to browse through the galleries to see if you can find some pictures in there. However, that might take all day. Perhaps someone from the site could take a few picts for you ?-- Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10090-a-pillar-vinyl/#findComment-67600 Share on other sites

February 8, 200421 yr Author comment_67607 Perfect! Thank you so much! I actually managed to dig up my 'how to restore z' book and it says some stuff about reinstalling these parts so I'm going to try and get that done today. Thanks for the pic!
