Manual to automatic transmission swap
I know...I too am very busy. I got a guy who hangs around the hobbyshop looking for work who can have remove the tranny and ship it to you. I believe the radiators have the the auto tranny cooling feeds blocked off on manual cars, but your radiator not beiing stock could be a problem. If the wiring harness is different u can have the one that is in the car. You would have to pay the handyman to remove all that stuff for you. My 73Z is an automatic and I like it, gets 30 mpg on the freeway.

I got a deal for u in san diego, I have a 72 automatic that the owner wants to make a 5sp, I have everything to make the change except the pedal box. I don't need anything in return except a pedal box. You are welcome to come to san diego to remove and fetch the tranny and flywheel. I got a guy we can pay to remove it for you. The car is located on a military base hobbyshop. PM me if you are interested.

MSA seatbelts wont fit
I installed my WESCO's a little different and I am happy with my install as well. I showed my WESCO install to MSA a few years ago, they used my example to move forward with their set-up. I still would not go with MSA on this one but instead with WESCO, great customer service too.

Got new rims... bolts/studs too short!
That is what I was thinking too.

MSA seatbelts wont fit
I ordered my belts for my 73 from WESCO and I love them. They are the best safety item that I have done.

Problems with parts vendors
I am real surprised by this, I had great luck with them. I hope they come through for you soon.

MSA seatbelts wont fit
Retro fitting stuff always takes a little massaging to make them work. Nothing fits or works as well as factory parts, but when they are no longer available or as safe to use, they you have to retro fit......compromise is necessary when doing this. I am sure it will work out fine for you.

super wide fender flares???
That's the guy.....he lost a lot of money being sued by Ferrari. My friend and I commissioned the molds for the widebody and Tom is going the work. Tom is a great guy.

24 months of intensive restoration, and I'm almost done.
I really like your car and appreciate the effort you made to do it right the first time...a very classy ride. I also like how respectful you were in this response. You are indeed a wise young fellow as well as a classy.

Help identifying a front spoiler
One of the great features of the the JDM chin spoiler is that you can position it to your perference. It can be mounted at many different angles, it is up to the owner on where he wants it to be. I really like it and it looks sharpe too. I need to get mine back from Les so I can mount it.

Help identifying a front spoiler
Les at Classic Datsun has mine and is having a mold made of it. He will have them for sale as well.

New plastic panel fitment
Moron PO's are not hard to come by are they? I see these cars all the time with so many problems and bonehead changes. Why would you ruin a beautiful blue interior? Look at Mally's car, that blue pops. Bonzi was your car blue on blue or blue on white...errrr.. i mean off white. My 73 is exactly the same. I got new diamond and plastic from Les at Classic Datsun. I don't like the color as I think it is too "white" instead of parchment as it was called on the color chart also known as off white. I just need the door panels(Les has a kit for) and the seat covers in order to install my new interior. Did you replace the vinyl around the windsheild and headliner too? In my 73 my off white is really "OFF" white.

New plastic panel fitment
Me too, I didn't know...but there is too many original parts in the interior for it to be reproduction parts, especially the vinyl around the windshield. I really want to make it blue again but this is "flip" project and it does not make sense to buy all new interior parts for that reason. I am going to have to think about my next move. I missed out on a complete blue interior for sale on Craigslist San Fran a few weeks ago. When redoing the interior it is easy to forget that you need all the plastic plus diamond vinyl, plus the vinyl around the windshield, the headliner and of course the seats. In the end it would cost way too much to justify only to resale the car. The blue on blue would look just awesome almost as good as white with blue interior.

New plastic panel fitment
I got a 71 blue on blue that some moron painted the blue black a few years back. I really want to return to the blue interior...it looks awesome. Also great advice for future reference.

The Mitty is having a big deal this year to the Datsun badge. I know Les is taking 4 cars to it, 3 BRE cars. Should be a great event from what I told.

Anyone Need Blue Interior Parts?
Julio, I would love to buy all your blue interior parts. I have a 71 that originally had a blue interior but it was painted black. I am willing to lowball you on the price too. Just tell me what you want.
