Need recommendations for car restoration in Hampton Roads Va
All you need is a bodyshop to put new floorpans in for you. Zedd Finding makes excellent pans.

Sounds very interesting looking forward to the build.

need tranny asap
It all depends....you can get yor tranny rebuild. Nissan sells the many of the parts. It is a pretty basic 5sp, I watched my friend do one in a 1/2 hour, he replaced all the snycros...that is what most likely went out.

I have seen some pictures in Japanese car mags with the holes filled with a black rub plug, that is the route I am going to go.

2011 Sep 10: JCCS #7 (Queen Mary, CA)
Just saw the car I was talking about on Speedhunters.com http://speedhunters.com/archive/2011/09/12/event-gt-gt-jccs-2011-pt-1.aspx. It belongs to a guy who goes by inZane240. Looks like there was a nice silver car next to it but it was gone by 1030 when I got there.

We fourm members always try our best to make good shows like this. I also heard a little rumor stating that San Diego will host the 2014 Z Convention. If that rumor is true I know San Diego will knock it out of the park as a host city.- Datsun Patrol?
Maybe your son can do a custom job on it. Did Les say anything about the Patrol he has there.- 2011 Sep 10: JCCS #7 (Queen Mary, CA)
No, it was more plain with Watanabe wheels...real clean, straight to the point and no extras.- 2011 Sep 10: JCCS #7 (Queen Mary, CA)

Rich, I was looking for you up there. I really liked the yellow 72 that was parked behind that V8Z you took a picture of.- Datsun Patrol?
Les has some Patrol parts and a partially complete vehicle there at the shop. He might be able to give you some direction.- 240Z Photos at Monterey Motorsports Reunion -Laguna Seca, Aug 18-22
Hi Bob, I got to see your car at the Coronado Festival of Speed last year, I have picture of Les under it....I think he was bleeding the clutch slave. It is really a beautiful car, well done. R/David- 73 240z!
- Adam Corrolla's "Ther Car Show".....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!?
I think what "The Car Show" is doing wrong is that the show has no real direction. There are some entertaining bits like the 24 Hours of Lemons and teaching chicks how to drive stick. I think the show needs to appeal to the common car guys like us, go to local events like Cars and Coffee, JCCS, Westcoast nationals, Grand National Roadster show, Low Rider events etc....- Finally New Product Arrived! Heater Panel, Colum cover, emblems, and more
I am so happy that there is someone out there who cares enough to commission production of items like these. I really love the website, the prices are a little high on some products but I understand why.- The official "Post pictures of your wheels" thread
I got a line on a set of those 280Z on Enkei(?) 14x6 wheels and 215/60R14. They are on a project car that will not be using them since the car was rebodied to a GTO 250. I am sure they are for sale here in San Diego if anyone is interested...local deal and pick up of course. I will get some pictures of my wheels on here, Watanabe's 15x7s with medal center caps. Got a set of Centerlines, Turbines and recently restored a set of SSR Reverse Mesh 15X7s, I had the centers powder coated silver. They will be for sale.- Want to buy - Air cleaner housing for new round-top carbs
I have one from a 71, a 72 and a 73. Let me know if you are interested.- a little less screwed, hopefully..
The California DMV is a mixed bag for sure. You can call 5 different customer service reps with the same question and get 5 different answers. I think you got a good answer today and one I would agree with from my experience of registering many different cars. Good luck, I am sure you are hard will pay off. I always believe in doing it the right way. The car sounds like a great find and I am sure you will enjoy it for a long time to come.- Z Powered Healey painted and back on the road...but stumbles.
That car is simply beautiful.- Lowering a 280z
I think cutting springs is a really bad idea. I don't know much about using Eibachs, but I do use S/T springs and they have always offered a really nice ride along with the lowered stance. I have a set of 280 S/T springs that I would highly recommend. I got an extra set available also Shox.com offers S/Ts at a great prices.- Z Race Products: No Response
I know the guys some what, he was in the San Diego Z Club. Good guy, who is a little slow to respond and to get things out. Others have an opinion on this seller? - 2011 Sep 10: JCCS #7 (Queen Mary, CA)
