  1. Why not just replace the hose that sprung a leak and make the system work properly?

Got them sold locally here in San Diego. Thanks for helping me set the best price. I got $350 for them.
  3. Continued to work on the 71 project car. We cleaned up the engine bay and preparded the interior for Lizard Skin application. Got a lot done today and rewarded ourselves with a fine beer afterwards.

Those are the exact injectors I have, with this knowledge I will price mine at $350.00. Thanks.

Thanks and I appreciate it, really I do; I think I will ask $450.

MSA does not sell Bosch; I would have used them as a reference and never started this thread. I will double check, I could be wrong...stranger things have happened.

MSA's is not a Nissan part, I think it is reproduction if I am not mistaken. My set is in the Nissan box with the part number on it. I comes with two Nissan keys.

I know 280 guys are cheap, I will have this set forever then.

I thank you and I had no idea. I know my 240 prices but not 280.

I have a Nissan brand new in the box key set for a 280Z, it includes ignition, doors, hatch and glove box. I don't have a 280 and would like to get it someone who does, what would be a right price for something like that? I am a 240 guy so I am not sure what 280 guys would pay. Once I come up with a price I will list the set in the classified section.

I have a set of 6 brand new in the box and still wrapped in plastic Bosch 280Z fuel injectors. How much do you think they are worth? I want to list them but cannot find a reference point on pricing them. I will list them in the classified section once I come up with a price. They are listed on Craigslist San Diego, no bites.
  12. How much for the Ztherapy carbs?, just the carbs no manifold.
  13. I got nothing but the best service, parts and prices from Les so I am not sure what the problem is. Don't get me wrong I like the guys at MSA but Les usually gets me the parts at the same price or less. I am very happy to have a guy like in the business. He has a lot on his plate, one and 1/2 man shop and still takes time to tend to my orders. I got nothing negative to say about him.

Looks like you got your work cut out for you Alex. Get it running, fix the floor pans and battery box and assess your budget from there. All the parts you need can be sourced from MSA, Ebay, Craigslist, the Classified page of this board and from Classic Datsun.
  15. I know...I know. I must take pictures, I am so bad at that. I spent 21 years in the Navy traveling all over Asia and I have little in the form of pictures to document my travels. I was thinking I must picture document our build. I will start today. Thanks for the encouragement to document. This car is going to turn out awesome. We got most of the parts we need.

I bought my daughter a 73 automatic 240 back in 2005, she did not like no power steering so now I drive it and she got a 2005 Sentra SER instead. I am sorry to hear about you Pop's my condolences. I really like that your car has all the history of ownership, my friend Rich made some great points about keeping all the original parts somewhere just incase you want to restore it back to original condition. I have modified my 73, put I have all the parts I took off stored in the garage. Enjoy the Ride.
  17. Since Wednesday my buddy and I have been tearing down our 71 in prepartion for a resto-mod. On Wednesday evening we pulled the motor and tranny. Yesterday I got the heater box out, I will restore it. I plan to get the core checked for leaks and pop a new valve on it. I will also test the fan. Our resto-mod will have a working heating system. Today I will continue to prep the interior for Lizard Skin and paint. The body is pretty much ready for paint; we will paint it blue(original color). It came with a blue interior that someone painted black. I wish it was still blue. We will put a nice L24 with E31 head in the car. We also have stroked L28 sitting there ready to go in if we choose it. I drove the car that the L24 came from and it was pretty quick with that E31 head. This weekend the work goes on; we will pull all the electrical out of the engine bay, power wash the engine bay and prep it for paint. Once the car is finished it will go up for sale.

I just put a vintage leather Recaro my 73 and I would not trade for anything. Jim is right.
  19. In the aftermarket and later year cars the radiators were all the same. If you had an automatic you used the fluid lines, if it has a 4/5 speed then the outlets are plugged off. This a little experience/a little guess.
  20. Classic Datsun comes through again.
  21. This what I use for my motors as well. They work perfect.
  22. I think the long go on the back and the short on the front. When I put the Eibachs on my 73 I had to change the rear insultor to the 280 insulator which is a little taller. That leveled out my car and it looks and handles great.

I am pretty sure they only came in cut. The sectional kits he sells are awesome and worth the money. I put a kit I got from Eiji in a 78 several years ago and it fit just like it came from the factory. I hate the molded stuff, it never looks right. You will be very please with the kit from Datusn Spirit.

Guy is right on this one, I got a kit for a 78 a few years back and it was exactly like the stock original carpet. I really liked the quality of the Datsun Spirit kit.
  25. Rich, Chico and I are going to go for this kit; the price is right and we got a lot of items that need to be done. I hope we can make our zinc as nice as you do.
