Factory restored 240z
Same car indeed! Starting the auction at the same price he didn't get last time too! So now the seller is saying that the car only has 1300 miles since the resto, but the odometer reads 51,675. Didn't Nissan use new odometers, or refurbished units that read "00000" for the Z Store Restorations?

Honda Strut Bar/Brace for Z
No one was comparing "you" to either type of driver. I merely illustrated two differing types of drivers, with vastly different "needs" for their own "street" cars. IMO, there is a little too much of people taking things personally, which were never stated that way, or meant to be taken that way. Now, if I had said, "If you are "Granny" maybe you don't need it........" then I may have been referring specifically to you, but I didn't and wasn't. Relax, have a beer (or other beverage of your choice).

Honda Strut Bar/Brace for Z
Many of us have 240Z's which weigh less than 2500 lbs. Not sure where you are getting the weight of the Honda (NOT doubting you either!) but the difference wouldn't be as great as you mentioned., and any extra chassis stiffness will help. Now, IF the hood will close on a 240Z is another matter. (I hope it will) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Regarding someone else's statement about whether it is "needed" on a street car depends on how one drives their own car. "Granny" doesn't even need the full power and handling built into the car from the factory, but "Mr. Autocross / Streetracer" needs/wants all the power and the chassis as stiff as he can get it. Different strokes for different folks!

They are all favorites of mine including Blazing Saddles. My Favorite Quotes: Hedley Lamarr: My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives. Taggart: God darnit Mr. Lamarr, you use your tongue prettier than a twenty dollar whore. Describing how everyone wanted to duel him when he was The Waco Kid Jim: Then one day I hear "Reach for it mister." I spun around, and there I was standing face to face with a six year old kid. Well, I just laid down my guns and walked away. Little bastard shot me in the arse.

I stand corrected, Nate. You're correct it was the Han Solo charecter. It's been a while since I saw that pic, I'll have to dig it out and view it when I catch up with all the stuff I've TiVo'd in the past few weeks. Oops, it's racing season, guess I'm gonna have to hussle to catch up! PS: It just seems odd that if the Cubans arrive, they can stay, but if they are intercepted they have to go back. No consistancy in policy. They should either let them all in, or keep them all out, IMHO.

Well, in the case of my viewing it would have been SPACEBALLS: The Video Tape you got me on these two. I don't remember the charector's name but I think it was the one based on "Luke Skywalker", and I haven't a clue what Dot's full name is/was. I'm too busy laughing to pay that much attention.

Speaking of cats
Hi William! Yeah they are my buddies. "Fart" got his name because when I first got him as a young kitten, for the first week I had him all he wanted to do all evening was sit on my shoulder, and let loose with some "fishy nasties" (must have been the food the shelter gave him). Regarding Mama's expression, that photo was the 2nd I took so she was squinting from the first "flash". She's the most mellow of them all and loves to be brushed, and always wants to be by my side.

What defines a 240Z a classic?
Maybe it was inspired by "Three Parts Vodka, One Part Lime"

Rob: In the 70's I had a Black Lab named Mingo who loved to do that with me and then go to the woods for a run. I still miss that pup.

If it's not an auto, you need a tune-up, or new clutch, I would think.

What defines a 240Z a classic?
That varys widely by state (since the USA federal government has nothing to do with auto registration), and is only related to smog certifcations and registration issues. It has no bearing on what auto enthusiast's/collectors define and value as a classic automobile.

OK, I checked my Aussie Slang interpretor and it isn't listed so I guess the NZ sheepsters (no offense meant) have their own slang. What does it mean?

Victor: I like cats also. I have 3 including a feral cat that I tamed over a 3 year period who now lives in house with me. unfortuantely, she has become a diabetic (though still otherwise healthy) and requires a special diet, and insulin injections twice daily. Here is the O.G. (Original Gangsta) of the house. "Fart"
