RIP Indian Larry
I'm not sure that is true, but I am sure that my local Police use it for that reason

Home-market S30 Factory Options
Definitely a rust promoter. Always has been, probably always will be. It's too bad though, cause if it weren't for the rust issue vinyl would be really cool on a Z :stupid:

Ripped off?
To whom does this copytight belong? Who must one get approval from to use a photo found on this site? The Site? Does the act of posting a photo relinquish the photographer's rights to that photo? What if the photographer wishes/chooses to allow others to use a photo that has been posted here for the benefit of visitors to the site? Is the site able or financially willing to enforce this policy regarding all content? The Photographer? Does the photgapher have to do anything to specifcally "allow" the use of their photo that has been posted here, or can he just ignore it's usage elsewhere? These are a few of my facorite questions

N.A.D.A. (Zed's value)
I guess I understand the need for it, but I don't like it either.

can you spot the "mistake"???
In the USA: Yellow Turn Indicators in front (and Front Side Markers as well) Red Turn Indicators in Taillights (and Rear Side Markers as well) _____________________________________________________ 240Z has McPherson Struts in front suspension and Chapman Struts in rear suspension. (A lot of people are not aware of this)

This car was recently sold on eBay by a car dealer and is representative of what can be found here in SF Bay Area. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2487690891&category=6187

FL must be a different market from CA. I can't remember that last time I saw a 240Z on a dealer lot here in Northern CA, but you can buy "20 footers" all day from private parties and you won't have to pay more than $5K or so. Now, I wouldn't mind if the values were higher here, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards ......yet.

Their "average retail value" is quite high in comparison to the prices that actual "20 footer" 240Z's command in my area of the country. Just an observation......

, No wonder the wife set a deadline for you to be finished "playing in the garage". How are those floor pans & "metal stitching" coming along?

turn signal problems
First, the Hazards work on a separate flasher unit from the Turn Signals. (IF the 73 is like the 72, and I *think* it is). Have you confirmed that ALL bulbs are good? Cleaned all the connectors? These would be my first steps in troubleshooting.

Air Cleaner doesn't have the flapper valve

Yup, US 1973 model, certainly made in 72, but manufactured to 73 model Safety and Emissions standards. Hey whattya expect from a Chrysler dealer?

List of suitable parts from other makes
You can also get a Trico #11-601, which is labeled as a Honda replacement pump, it is exactly the same pump as the stock '70 - '73 windshield washer pump. The one exception is the connections, but if you have your old pump you'll see that the BLK wire (neg) has a FEMALE connector, and the Trico 11-601 has a MALE connector. It takes about 2 minutes to solder the correct type of connector onto the new pump. (Thanks Chris, I've added your info to my database of useful information.)

Looking Good Chris. You'll be pleased as punch when you see how well that tool works! "Ditto" (Thanks to Gary for lending his tool when I needed it)

78 280z door glass into a 72 240z ? is it possible ?
Yeah, I guess it's CDM. I have to take the credit for leaving the car parked in a lot unattended so that some foolio could mash my "less than 60-day old" new bumper into a "W" shape, and making my hood look like it had a hair-lip. No insurance at the time either. Grrrr. :stupid:

Ha Ha, Iwas going to post that answer, but figured I'd just see if anyone else figured that out.

78 280z door glass into a 72 240z ? is it possible ?
Hey you guys, I HAVE two hoods, just that neither is on the car at the moment. No spare bumpers, though I'd part with my front bumper for a reasonable price. (you know, the one shaped like a "W")

No one can stop you from voicing your opinion, nor does anyone wish to do so, but "run that by me again" how this subject is "on topic" as in "Z related"? And how does this site benefit from people getting bent out of shape and publicly complaining when their photos are "misused" "In Their Humble Opinon"? The people who really want to copy photos will do so no matter what you or I want them to do. This thread will in no way alter that. The whining of "All the kings horses and all the kings men are not going to stop people from borrowing pictures from any of us." (did I just violate a copyright? ) I support you or anyone privately dealing with a person who misuses "your property" as you see fit (I personally couldn't be bothered, but support the right to do so), but this thread IN MY HUMBLE OPINION provides no benefit to anyone, least of all this site/club/whatever. You certainly may take offense, but I don't feel that you should act like I was singling you out (note that no one else reacted that way), because that never happened. Incidently, I am quite aware of the irony of whining about whiners. THAT is exactly why I continue to do it, so the whiners might get a clue as to how foolish they appear. How IRONIC that I must explain it!

I need an american to help me out !
I acquired a copy of this book sometime in the last couple of years. Don't remember where (maybe ebay?), and it is a good read.

Respectfully disagree Enrique. Only if one is coming at it from a self-centered point of view would a general statement in a discussion involving close to a dozen people be construed as directed at any one person. I stand by my statement as written!

Civil law vs Criminal law. Different standards are applied, I'm sure you know that. Most laws do not cross international boundaries, that also muddies the waters in the internet situation we are discussing. Your post just spelled out generaly what is and isn't legal and the concept of "bordering on criminal behavior" didn't come up. That's what I wanted to know. "IS or ISN'T" "LEGAL or NOT" Maybe now this thread will die and we can get back ON TOPIC to Z's instead of this law BS. If someone has a beef about usage of a photo or post on this site, contact the admin & do your whining in private.

Alan, where the hell to do get that I was talking to/about you anymore than all of the others who are complaining about this issue. There is no reason for you to take this personally. Grow Up!

Mike: What does "bordering on criminal behavior" mean. Is it illegal or not. Laws are generally quite specific as to what is or isn't legal.
