Hey, Carbs are not me either, but with some help from Z-therapy I feel a whole lot better about adjusting and tearing down my SU's. I believe it's z-therapy.com. The video you need is either "240 tune up" or "just SU's".
  3. Howdy, I have both an R200 and an R180, the 180 is a 3.36 and the 200 is a 3.55. Last time I tried to switch the rear end over to a 200 I had problems from He** and gave up, putting another 180 in to get me by. I did change mustache bars but nothing wanted to line up with the diffy mount bar. The victim is a '73. Two questions: 1; Do you need to change the diffy mount bar, originally I was told no, but now I wonder. And 2; Is the change over worth it? Stock motor, 4-speed tranny, good suspension. (Springs, bars, blah, blah, blah) Want a 3.90 but still looking. Is there a noticable diff between the 3.36 and the 3.55? Thanks for the info. Have a heckuva weekend... (And ok, three questions.)
  4. Thank you sir, I'll e him. I appreciate it, have a good day!

Well, this may seem weird, and it is, but I had a similar problem with my Suburban after I put a toggle switch to switch the blower fan on and off. (YES, lazy way out I know, nut I was in a hurry if and was going to fix it right and that was two years ago and the stupid toggle switch is still there.) ANYWAY, if the switch is on then is runs for about two to three seconds after key off, this may have nuthin' to do woth your porblem but I thought if you added a recent switch it may help out. Zyal8r. and good luck.

I bought the "Just SU's" video recently from Z-Therapy and I highly advise anyone who wants to tinker with their SUs to purchase that video. The "240 tune up also has excellent information in it and if you want to know how to take apart the carbs, clean and adjust them, then this is the video for you... I have both styles of carbs for my '73 and plan to change over to the smaller dome style, I'm just waiting on finding the linkage and parts needed to switch over. Enjoy, and order that video, I almost recommend the two-tape version of the video, it's a bit clearer.
  7. I am having a tough time finding replacement center caps for my snowflake 15" wheels... Checked with the local Nissan shop and they aren't sure if they are the right ones and they want $20 for each. OUCH! Any ideas?
  8. Thanks, car is going on stands today for the suspension swap, it's getting to be spring and time to get out the Z for some Sunday driving...I'll check the area.
  9. Mornin' I just rec'd the 240Z tune-up video from Z-therapy and it's excellent...Thought I'd pass along the word, it has a bunch of good information. Also, has anyone gotten any advice as far as rust problems in the passenger front frame area from the fire wall forward, I picked up a '73 240 with a decent motor, the car was cheap enough so it didn't bother me. My question is, can anyone give me some advice on how to try to fix? One more thing, a friend gave me some aftermarket springs he decided not to use, they are blue...Race Tech I was told, but aren't motorsport springs blue also? Everyone have a great Sunday and thanks for the replies...
