I'm guessing to, but maybe exactly: North 34 degrees 39 minutes and 20.972 seconds East 135 degrees 28 minutes and 45.239 seconds. Right here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=N34+39%2720.972%22+E135+28%27+45.239%22&ie=UTF8&z=13&ll=34.655804,135.479279&spn=0.091501,0.20359&t=h&om=1&iwloc=addr Last of the straight 6 interceptors I guess. Well, if you cant afford to import a Falcon into Japan.... I wonder what sort of business goes on there. Maybe it's the Mel Gibson Fan club Japanese headquarters
  2. Sounds like he married the wrong girl. My other half doesnt mind me owning 4 datsuns and 2 nissans, and right now theres a N42 EFI manifold sitting on the coffee table in the lounge room, and a R200 diff in the hall way by the front door.
  3. Looks good. Now polish your valve cover

"• Hijacking or off topic conversations within threads" One think I particularly like about this site is you never know where a thread will end up. They are more like convesations. A thread could start about one thing and 3 pages later you're discussing something completely different. I think this place would be less enjoyable if there were admins constanly telling people to keep it on topic. I've noticed some thread hijacks, where it seems the user has hit "post reply", when they meant to hit "new thread", and posted something completely unrelated.
  5. Nope I've never heard of an Australian Delivered 240Z with a blue interior.

But if you go to www.wazcars.com and click the get Firefox link (bottom right), you'll be helping keep another z site on the internet As for tow/tie down hooks, theres an informative article here: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23171
  8. I did a search and didnt come up with much apart from this which sounds like the problem you are having. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21507 but no soultion there unfortunately. But reading that and looking at a photo of the back of my amp gauge, I believe that either the white wire, or the red/white wire provide power to the fuse box, and everything else in the cabin. So connecting the the Red/white and white wires together should reconnect the circuit that would have otherwise existed inside the amp gauge. They're the really thick wires, right?
  9. Nice thread hijack. Now back to AZ-Fairlady's fairlady......
  10. Yes something has to be reconnected. If you remove the amp meter the car wont start. You have effectively open circuited part of the electric system. I dont know for sure what wires need to be conected together, but its been discussed here before, so a forum search sould get you the answers you need.
  11. Hey AZ-Fairlady, any updates on the progress of your car?
  12. Do you want one for parts? or one to restore?
  13. This one's in Japanese, but one to add to your list of sites to check. http://www.catsfactory.com/ensuu.html

Yes they did. Theses are re-upholstery kits. It's a general listing, when you buy it, they will probably ask what ones you want. If you notice the pictures, theres different model seat covers there, 240, 260 and 280. I think its against ebay policy to list that type of advert. Listsings are supposed to be for a particular item, not a selection of items. eg if you have a selection of items in different colours, and you give the buy a choice of colours when they buy, its against ebay policy. But Ebay policy enforcement is a joke. They are happy to ingnore it as long as they are making money.
  15. Heres another rare item "rare original datsun 260z 240z mirror door mirrors 2+2" http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270034889674 Sold for US$33.99 to Someone in the US, Plus shipping from Australia. Pretty expensive for a set of non original, generic plastic mirrors. You can buy those brand new for less.
  16. I think he's looking to buy a 4 door C110 Datsun 240K from Australia, and wants some help locating one and arranging shippping.

Theres a Silvia for sale in Japan I found on the weekend, though the asking price is around AU$34,000. Scroll down the page till you see the Japanese Flag http://www.catsfactory.com/ensuu.html Couple of old skylines there too if anyones interested importing a car from Japan. Also in the shannons Austion there was a Honda S600 that sold for $2400. http://www.shannons.com.au/pages/auctions/lot.jsp?id=DD254GV240NFKO12 And an XA Falcon GT that sold for $46,000! http://www.shannons.com.au/pages/auctions/lot.jsp?id=DAFFH9U179I54V56
  18. Stranger things have happened. Maybe the guy works for Monza Corporation, so he got his company to kick in some cash for sponsorship? I think here in Australia we had a car sponsored by an "escort service" once. Might have even been driven by Sam Newman?
  19. Wtf

Yeah. My ebay name is the same as my name here. The seller is someone from here too, who sounds like he should be taking his dog for a ride in an italian car
  20. How do you know they own Monza Corporation? Why dont you ask Monza Corporation directly http://www.monza.us/monza/index.html Monza Corporation c/o Ita Inc. 40 White Lake Road Sparta NJ 07871 (973) 579-3400 (973) 579-3222
  21. have you tried their website http://www.swmotorsport.com/

In Japan you'd pay $30,000 or more for a good one. I'm not sure why the difference in value in Australia. Probably its just that no one knows what they are. Maybe the price is based on the (Red?) Book value, which really doenst take into account rarity or collectability. The just see it as a 40 year old Datsun. I think the going rate in Aus is about the same as a Roadster. Parts aren't that hard to find, apart from interior and fittings (indicators, badges). Mechanically the are the same as roadsters. The Roadster later inherited all the improvements which appeared first on the Silvia (1600 engine etc). If James bond had driven a Silvia instead of a 2000GT, I expect you would be paying hundreds of thousands for them. I found the car on the Shannons site. http://www.shannons.com.au/pages/auctions/lot.jsp?id=Q5OB1953CZCR99FF# Goertz's input to the design of the Silvia is less then he made it out to be, as with his input into the design of the 240z. Some things that arent right with this car: The car has a roadster steering wheel and the gear lever boot is not original. The carbies are not the original silvia ones. The air box has been hacked open. It has 240K front indicators. It has Bluebird TRX mags. There was one on ebay a while ago, the bidding got to $12,000 I recall, but the reserve wasn't met. It was in worse condition that this car. (hadnt been driven in years, needed a restoration, but had some spare parts).
  23. I did a search for "Monza Corporation" in google and it came up as being an Italian company, but they have branches in the US, so maybe in Japan too. LHD you say, hmm, well you learn something new every day. (i was guessing about that part).
  24. I'd leave it as is. Dont try putting vents in the bonet. Yes that kit replaces the bumper. you'd need to remove it. Looks like matt black to me.
