    Courtesy Nissan in TX?
  3. I'm curious, where can they be had for $48 ea? For that price I want a set. Last time I saw a price they were listed at over $200 ea from Nissan, even though they were NLA anyway.

No, the hand throttle cable connects to the accelerator pedal linkage. Your pic looks like the linkage on my car.
  5. See post #34 on this page http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8103&page=3&pp=15 The folks in USA may replace all the foam, all the time, but the the original company in AU does not all ways do so. Since the original company wasn't satisfied with the work performed by the USA branch (even if they replaced all foam) and disassociated from them; I'd still be nervous about using the USA branch for my dash.

If it's the fusible link that is damaged, the starter motor won't spin when you try to crank it. The diodes in the alternator can get damaged when someone attempts a backwards jump start. 240Z's didn't come with electronic ignition. Do you know what kind of ignition was added to your car?

Zedd Findings doesn't list 2+2 floor parts on their website. Still it wouldn't hurt to contact them.
  8. Looks like Too Intense plans on reproducing US and Euro Tail Lights. No prices listed yet. http://www.datsunrestore.com/photo4.html I bet it will be YEARS before another set of comparable used 240Z tail lights sells anywhere near $500. NO, I don't care if you disagree!
  9. any of the 3 designed for 240Zs will work, but if you get one of the 2 with provision for the heat riser, you must use a heat riser designed for the specific heat shield you get. IOW you can't mix heat risers and heat shields and expect them to fit together.

Still, it's spam and doesn't belong here. BTW, the product has been discussed, I read a thread about it in the archives.

then they want you to put 3 oz of acetone in your gas tank
  14. "F" You have added nothing more than a fairy tale story, so don't think for an instant that you've added value here! I dont consider your "extensive" testing to be anything more than anecdotal gibberish. I have read the website info, but the difference between you and I is that I dont believe everything I read on the internet. The fact that this "miracle" is on a web page, and not in production by any company; tells me it is BS. I got the idea that gas companies (manufacturers & retailers) would like the idea where they can charge more money per gallon, which would be virtually ALL profit, for a fuel that provides a major benefit which would attract end users, thus increasing the market share of the company that chose to do so. Remember, our nations refineries are already running at near maximum capacity. It's a lot easier and cheaper to stretch the existing supply of gas while charging a higher price (IF IT WERE POSSIBLE!) than to fight the environmentalists for approval and then fund the building of more refining capacity, IF they could even find the additional raw material (oil) to refine.
  15. Have you tried using high pressure air to blow out the crap that's worked it's way into the mechanism? I'd try that first before I disassembled the E-brake lever/mechanism.

if you want the car to ride like a buick, just get cheapo Monroe struts
  17. Just as relevant to a Classic Z website as your post about a friggin Buick! Besides, my watermellon has more horsepower than your buick! :lick:
  18. I have a watermellon in my refridgerator. :pirate:
  19. "RaVer Motorsports CA 559-733-4711 Vernon and Patti have extensive knowledge of Nissans and their capabilities. Turbos, engine swaps, exceptional headwork, lightened flywheels, bored throttle-bodies, stealthy NO2 setups (custom plate systems), etc., etc.! Basically, nothing is off-limits, and all work is extremely detail-oriented and impeccably well crafted. Honesty and customer service are the backbone of the business. The most honest folks in the import business." Guess their knowledge isn't as extensive as they thought. Bummer for you and any other custmers of theirs. Hope you get it sorted out.
  20. "F" Actually the worst that could happen is the acetone could damage or shorten the life of seals, o rings, sensors, or other components of an engine. Or, it could increase emissions. I'm done with this thread.
  21. Thaks for the info. I hope you do post more info on all of the S30 Z clocks. I couldn't care less about clocks in ZX cars
  22. So guess that the fact that NONE of the gasoline refiners adds acetone to their product (or more acetone than their competitors do) doesn't give you a clue. Imagine the advertisements, "Want guarenteed 10% better fuel mileage? Buy XYZ gasoline for your vehicles. Results PROVEN in independant studies." Imagine the increased profits from cornering the market. The cost to add a minute amount acetone would be neglible, but they could easily charge 5%+ higher retail price, and the customer would get 10% better mileage. A bargain for all concerned. And of course, we all know that everything you see on the internet is 100% true.
  23. I have it on good authority that the same results can be had using 3oz. of wizz in 10 gallons of gasoline. Give it a try, and let us know how it turns out next time you're on a long trip.

Before you believe that oil filters aren't very important, or that they are all basically the same, you might want to invest a little time reading this http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/oil_filter_study/ I found this link posted in another thread on this website. I can't find the thread now, but I saved the link. I think anyone reading this webpage will soon realize that there is a vast difference between different oil filters.
