Chesboy

Like most Z owners I am not a youngster @ 72.  Still work full time as a factory HVAC tech support field rep for a major mfg.   Still active.  Married 39 years.  Other interest is Komondor dogs.  Live in the upper Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.  Had a 73 240 from 75-77. Worked in a Volvo, British Leyland, Datsun agency.  1/2 assed mechanic.  I can do it but it takes 10 times longer.  Have owned 13 Healy, 7 E types, 1 Jag S, + 50 other cars  Drive a 16 Mini S.  LOVE to drive anything.  Last August I won a BAT auction for a 74 Jensen Healey.  Went to p/u the car at a specialty dealer.  He had a 73 240 orange good driver w ‘78z wheels.    Not a show princess.  I bought both cars.  Those 2 were at the top of my wish list. I am in the process of replacing all cooling system components.  Next is brake booster & master.  Engine was good when I aquired the car. Do want to swap out the auto trans.    Did front end, brakes at all 4 wheels w/hoses,new seat covers & cushions.  Had some rust in the cowl/wiper area.  Used POR15 to make water tight. ( must be very patient when making that repair.)

Looking to make friends in the Z community.  Share info, car meets etc. There is just something special when I drive the 240.  My car will never be a show winner. I don’t care.  I want a car that I can drive anywhere and have fun.
