I got my first car at 18 years old, a shiny green Datsun 260z. I bought the car with $1000 I had made and saved working at SuperLube over the summer. I remember fondly how proud I was of my car choice, and how much I loved it. Unfortunately, it threw a rod through the block a year later and I was devastated. I sold the car a few months later as is. I’ve kicked myself a lot for not holding on to it for years.  So here I am some 30 years later and I finally got another Datsun z. I didn’t plan to buy this one per se, the opportunity just kind of happened upon me. This time I bought a 1975 280z 2+2. I paid $1100 for it and I drove it 40 miles home smiling all the way. It felt just a good to drive as it did 30 years ago! I plan to restore it myself and drive drive drive it!
