About Me

This is a first with me in restoring a car. I have a 1972 - 240 has been sitting for decades it is my intent to do what it needs to get it in prime condition for my sons 16th birthday. 12 years away!

I have owned it for a while and done some reading on it. But will be happy to hear any things i need to know as i get into this project.

I have good candidate for restore it has 39k miles on odometer and believe its original.

The motor would not turn when i got it having dried out in arizona heat for 30 years. I put some diesel fuel in cylenders let it sit about a month then put socket on the crank shaft bolt and it rotates now. Going to try and start it up. Should i do anything other than change oil before giving it a try.

Thanks

Jim
