as you guys may have known I was in an accident and my rear quarter panel is well... pretty F*****. So I was looking for my options.. I can *Hammer and Hammer it out and fill in the rest with body filler *Cut out the old quarter panel and weld in a new one. ($700 for a new panel plus the cutting and welding) *Buy a fiberglass panel and bond it on! ($125 for a new panel) However I had a question about getting a fiberglass rear panel. Here is what the website mentioned... ----------------------------------------------------- Looks original - This panel is designed to be bonded over the existing steel panel. ... I am only 17.. and I live under my parents house, and they don't want another car outside. I would LOVE to have the car.. but I can't keep it at my house, and I can't afford the $140 a month for storage.. as a poor High School kid. I figured someone would want the car. The junkyard will pay me $80 for it.. but i was wondering.. if anyone else wanted a good 240Z and I could possibly get something for it. But by the 17th I will have no choice.. my parents want it OUT.. so I will have to settle for scrapping it.

Pictures are found 8 posts below Thank You I just recently bought a 1972 240Z along with my 280Z... but I don't have room for the 240Z... simply no room. I bought the car however, just for the front passenger fender and that's it. The car runs and very little rust (rust spot on the driver fender) and some along the door sill of the drivers door. Underbody.. free of any bad rust... FLoorBoards are GREAT! The car has a 4-speed manual tranny with a strong clutch and good brakes. The engine RUNS like I said.. but needs carb tuning. The car does need work though. The previous owner repaired some existing rust on the rear fenders but was repaired and new metal was welded on. It has some body filler to smooth it out. And it has diff. colored doors and needs front and rear bumpers. Also a new passenger fender will be needed since i used it. Paint is needed as well. Kinda dull and then the body filler stuff I have pictures.. but I need to load them up.. will have them very soon. I need this car OUT by January 17th if possible.. otherwise to the junkyard it goes! Best offer... name any price and I will start off from there.. I AM NOT LOOKING TO GET MUCH MONEY.. i just need to get rid of it.

Well there is the Nissan Skyline engine... inline 6 and DOHC... but no L6 series engines with DOHC

have you seen my sound system in my car? Kenwood HeadUnit MTX Amplifier 500w 3 10" MTX subs 4 4" Alpine speakers THe original owner had some holes in here before, so instead of fixing the holes or replacing the whole center console.. I put in some speakers.. doesn't look too bad does it? Wonder if I can see out of teh back window? Sure can!

Here's a good question... Can you stil have your bumper shocks on the car if you get that MSA bumper? I know the bumper may stick out a bit but, If you COmpress the shocks a little bit or drain some of the fluid, you can squeeze em down a little bit. So then you have your modern day bumper.... Fiberglass or plastic bumper with bumper shocks behind to absorb the impact. But naturally, if you get in an accident it prob will crack the bumper but at least it wont bend the frame in a slow collision.

I went into my car today and took some pictures with my crappy camera and a flashlight. I went through and circled and labeled different components. Now this is the view from underneath the passenger dash, under the blower motor and looking at the inlet and outlet of the antifreeze hoses.

Were you able to sell the car yet? I noticed it was taken out of the paper a few weeks ago... did you sell it?

Wow, i guess everyone took my words too seriously... I meant the Whale Tail was found on Z's as in the entire Z legacy with Datsun/Nissan. However, to a true Z fan, an original Z (any 240Z's) or later 260Z's and 280Z's never did come with wings TRUE. but you guys know what I meant, not literally but sorta. Ok. so IF I DID PUT A WING ON.. it would be from a ZX-R Note: S31 chassis not a S30 chassis original Z.

the only wing i will ever use on my car, if I use one.. is the WhaleTail... it came in Z's and has been proven to provide downforce at high speeds.
