  1. I could use a set of the carpet retainers under the dash in the footwell... mine are missing! They bolt to the locations circled in the pic
  2. Careful with generic statements... my 76 280Z is a side mounted fuel sender....
  3. Here's a few shots of my fabs
  4. I think we will see more reviews and status updates by September. The 280Z molds are not complete yet as far as I understand.
  5. Truck transport to my house is $23,000 US (Mark’s Midnite Transport Inc). So I guess I owe you $2000?? We have a deal? PS: I’ve used this company before and I highly recommend them! [emoji6]
  6. I prefer the Tapatalk app. It allows you to access other forums as well as the Classic Z Car forum easily. It is well supported and gets regular updates and is free. It also eliminates the signatures on the bottom of the posts to reduce clutter. Plus I never saw the ads covering the posts in Tapatalk.
  7. http://www.classiczcars.com/uploads/monthly_2018_04/C9A72838-7746-483F-8079-67390B94484C.thumb.jpeg.1359c76ff7092a9236288e5bf9cb3e44.jpeg Luvin' the Ranger Race Lift in the pic! plus the fact your shop looks like mine most of the time.... organized chaos!
  8. Try using Tapatalk. It works extremely well.
  9. Congrats! Very nice and I too am partial to the colour...
  10. Another shot of the clear on the red anti sway bar. Makes it pop pretty nice! The bars did not end up with a perfect finish as the corrosion had a mottling effect on them before powder coating. But they will look good from afar!
  11. Too late! I went back to chrome. I’m so fickle...
  12. Better? Or worse? Tried adding some detail to the valve cover tonight. Black powder coat stripe. Then I discover that the black powder didn’t adhere too well. I can touch that up. THEN, I decided to clear coat the cover. This added a real nice gloss to the cover BUT, it made the colour shift to raw aluminum. Not chrome anymore. The white powder on the cover is the clearcoat powder.
  13. In other news, I decided to experiment a little more with the clear powder coat. I will post pictures soon, but I think I have it figured out and the results look promising!
  14. My hats off to you brother. I was 42 when I served in the infantry brigade, tank unit, in Panjwaii. Didn’t feel old then... but I served with a retired police chief who resigned his commission to serve as a Cpl tank driver in the army! He was 55!!
  15. I’m used to being partly broken most of the time. But at 51, I am getting closer to the point where it’s time to “pull pin”... For now, I enjoy working with the tanks.
  16. I am not concerned with the weight reduction in this car. And yes, June... join the Army! There’s no life. Like it.
  17. I estimate I have added about 30 - 40 lbs of sound deadening. I removed about 100 lbs of tar and undercoat though....
  18. I kinda wish I would have ordered more of the V-Comp to go higher up the firewall and under the seats etc. What you see in the car right now is 98% of what came in the package. Should ship with about 50% more material for a complete installation.
  19. Installed the V-Comp product from B-Quiet over the butyl ultimate sound deadener.
  20. I don’t have any real good recordings of the engine and exhaust (as I’m usually driving), but it is a very sweet sound under acceleration. I have an HKS exhaust and Berk hiflow cats after the tuned engine. Really comes to life under load. I have won more than one “best exhaust” competition...! Edit: I usually jump in the car a few times over the winter to move the fluids and keep things running smooth. I’m still a month away from roads being driveable, plus I deploy on exercises in two weeks time and won’t be back until June.... [emoji20]
  21. All this talk of spring down south had me Jonesing for some Z sounds....
  22. I have very thick skin. In fact some of my friends just call me thick... I’m a very thick man.
  23. Finally hit redline in my car! Well kinda...
  24. The view out of the shop...
