  1. Today I got the fuel pump to kick on. However the car will sound like it's just about to start and then nothing. Also the pump keeps running... Like its having problems pressurizing the tank. I checked spark and it's good. Maf possibly?
  2. Here is an update on my electrical issue. I managed to get most of the electronics to work, wipers, gauges, interior lights etc. I tested the fusable links and im getting 12v at both ends on all of them and the ohms were normal. This is where it gets weird....prior to doing this, my taillights did not work, but my headlights did. Now, my tailights stay on, and my head lights wont turn on. I tested the fuel pump and I am getting no power to it, no power with key in the on position and no power when cranking. The relays seem like they are in very poor condition, so my next step was replacing them.
  3. ZedHead, the kid i bought it from didn't really seem to know much about it. He said he bought it and parked it for a little over a year (what's the point of buying it?) And was never able to get it running. Somethings I noticed when I was looking it over, he didn't have the MAF sensor hooked up and the fuel pressure regulator was replaced and the fuel pump was replaced. However I don't think he realized now nothing was getting power. SteveJ you have a point, I shouldn't base it off of visual there could certainly be underlying problems, which I am assuming there is. I am going to begin going through the harness little by little, based on the write up that eurodat sent me. My next step was going to be to test for voltage, like I said these were just observations that I came across. Thanks again guys for the replys so far extremely helpful.
  4. Mine is a 78, will that be applicable to my car?
  5. Thanks for the reply, I'll give this a try.
  6. Hey All, I just recently purchased a 280z, I am so far happy with my purchase. The kid I bought it from said that he hasnt been able to get it running. I did a little diagnosing today and came to the conclusion that the gas pump isn't getting power.....and then I realized that nothing is getting power. Except for the starter and headlights. No gauges, no interior lights, no wipers, no blinkers, etc. I have checked the fuseable link and they all look good. Everything seems to be hooked up. I just put a brand new battery in. If anyone has any recommendations i'd be very appreciative. Thanks, Jeremy
