  1. Tomohawk, you're hired. I have been restructuring the pricing for the past month. Have brought down the price of an overall digital and print subscription already. Am working on reducing the digital cost as well. Advertising rates dropped too. The first print issue of this year is at the printer (for anyone that gets the print issue, its like getting a double issue now. I'm waiting for the call that it is ready. Heading to MSA with magazines in hand and to show off the original centerfold illustration that the artist will have there. If you are at MSA and have a subscription I will give you your magazine at that time and you can have the artist sign the centerfold if he's up to it. The Mr. K tribute turned out well. Looking forward to seeing it in print. Been trying to contact Lenny about continuing the FI series but he's not responding. Is he still around? The offer is still there for anyone to submit an article on their car. A good story and hi-res pictures is all it takes. Does anyone know where you go to find out about advertising on this site?
  2. Ok, so I checked the connectors and bulb plugs. I also checked the fuse box. Nothing looked out of place. All were very clean. I cleaned them anyways. Figured I didn't do much but I decided to let the car idle for about 35 minutes with the lights on. Went back outside after 35 and all the lights were still on. Next test will be to drive at night and see if the fuse blows while driving since that is the only time I have had it happen.
  3. sounds simple enough to start with. Thanks
  4. I have a 1978 280Z. Tail lights (driving) and side marker lights work fine until car is warmed up (about 20 minutes). After that the fuse blows. Before I start chasing wires I figured I'd ask incase someone has had this problem and can tell me the fix. All other lights (headlights, brakes) are fine. The turn signals don't work either (I've tried using different combo switches with the same results) but they are less of a problem then the back lights going out at night. Thanks
  5. Just talked to Lenny (superlen) this afternoon and his tech article on FI will be in the next issue of ZCCM (#7 - due to mail out the end of May). I'm doing something different in the magazine this time. For the first time a tech article will be a feature article in the magazine. I have reserved 4 to 5 pages for the first article. After that Lenny has offered to continue to do tech articles and updates in issues going forward. After talking to him I believe he will be a great addition to the magazine. This is the kind of support I wish I had 15 years ago. Anyone else want to step up?
  6. I can relate to that Jeff. In the past I was burned as well for hundreds of dollars. Doing things differently now to keep that from happening and not so much for you as for myself. Some people think I'm crazy for doing this. I except that challenge
  7. I'm looking for a few great Z-cars! If yours is one of them, get off your butt and get moving. Send me a paragraph or two of why you think your Z should be in the pages of the magazine. Attach a couple of pics and I'll decide if it is a feature or a BTW (look in the magazine to see what BTW means). You don't have to be a professional writer or photographer. You just need to do the best you can and I'll take it from there. Once I decide where it will go I will send you a guideline to follow for that specific section. I'm trying to fill spots for future issues and this is your chance to grab one of them. I would like to have all the issues mapped out for the entire year. If you have any questions, ask away. 8. Issue #6 is in production. Feature story is on a Nissan Executive who owns a RHD 240Z with a Skyline motor. The second feature is about all the Z related magazines that have come and gone since 1994. Project Datsun 510 begins and the BTW is on a 1986 300ZX. Reminder: CZCC has met the requirements of being a Partner Club with the magazine. Anyone who has signed up from this site can now submit articles. See earlier post for guidelines.
  9. Tomohawk, Lenny emailed me last week, I will be talking to him this week and we will be getting an article in ZCCM. It will be more then 1 page for sure .
  10. UPDATE: All promo packages have been mailed. The postcard is slipped into the first page or two of the book for promo #1. The 240Z stamp is in the first month of the calendar for promo #2.
  11. Brett, if you order a subscription it will start with #5. On another note:FYI: I started mailing out issue #5, Back issues, book and postcard. I ran out of a specific envelope that I use so I have to try and find some at the local area post offices. If I don't, I have 90 on order but they might not get here till Friday. Some will see the package on Friday. On another note, issue #1 is sold out and is no longer available. Everyone that signed up to this point will still get the first issue if they ordered the back issues with the subscription. Also, anyone that ordered the promo package will start seeing a $6.00 refund in the next few days. When you get the stuff, let me know what you think. Thanks Art
  12. Here are the Table of Contents for the first 5 issues:
  13. I have updated the subscription promotion. New details listed below. Greg P will be added to the list of 10 since he signed up after the first promo ended. Special 1-Year Subscription Promotion Get a 1-year subscription to Z Car Club Magazine plus the first 4 issues of ZCCM at a discounted rate. If you are one of the first 10 to order a subscription, you will also receive a 2014 Nissan Motorsports Calendar and a real postage stamp from Ajman (middle eastern) with an illustration of a 240Z on it. The subscription starts with issue #5 and runs through issue #10. This special offer is listed on Ebay and the link is: Datsun Nissan Z Car Club Magazine 1 Year Subscription Back Issues | eBay And of the first 10, one will be chosen at random (out of a hat) to get a signed issue of Sport Z Magazine by Mr. K. Make sure to say that you are with classiczcars.com. If you mention that you saw this at czc.com it will go towards the total number of members signed up with the club and you will receive a $6.00 refund so that the base price of the subscription is still $2.50 per issue. The offer also includes home delivery of the printed version. You must leave a message when ordering as simple as: "czc member" since the ebay listing will not mention the calendar or postage stamp.
  14. Ebay changing their policy on charging fees on the shipping is not a good thing for the people that charge the actual shipping cost. I'm one of those people and now I have to include the ebay fees which in turn inflates shipping costs. At least the old way I had a choice of buying a part (or not) if the shipping cost was reasonable. Paying fees on the part is understandable since you have the choice to set the price you want to get. There is no option in price when it comes to shipping so not paying fees on that was a good thing.
  15. Hey Tomahawk, I know this is a little late but I'm told there is a way to be able to print out the online version. You need to sign up as a member of ISSUU (that is who I use to setup the online version). I'm told that if you sign up with them (I don't think there is a cost) you will be able to download the online version which in turn will allow you to print it out. Let me know if it works if you try it.
