I am in the process of stripping the paint off of my 72 240z to fix rust and do bodywork in preparation for painting. I have rust around the gas filler. I need to remove the gas filler 'box' (box on inside of rear quarter panel which fill neck goes through) to patch the rust holes in the quarter panel around the gas filler door. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is the best way to remove the gas filler 'box'? Is it welded in place from the factory, or just held in place with seam sealer?? Also what is the best way to remove the chrome drip rail molding (without damage)? One more question....where is the best place (in the u.s.) to get patch panels (dogleg and outer rocker panels). Any suggestions are appreciated...thanx
