fast cars???
Sounds like a job for Mythbusters. Drop a Z out of a cargo plane and see if the terminal velocity is at least 200mph. I don't think it would be anywhere close to 200mph.

Hi Everyone!
Well, if I had to guess I would say he's probably from Kansas City, Missouri. But you're right; he should update his profile to include this information.

Best Buy Me color?
It surprises me that blue is leading although I'm not sure how valuable this poll will be for you. There appears to be a very high correlation between votes and cars owned.

Autocross Fuel Cell Install
Thanks for the link. Running it from the drive shaft was my first thought but then I figured it wouldn't be charging while you're idling. I guess that doesn't matter for racing.

How do you move the alternator to the back? What drives it?

Torque Plate
I read somewhere that for an even smaller improvement you have to bolt on all of the engine accessories like the water pump as they have a similar effect on the block. To be fair, it seems to me that Preith was wondering if using the torque plate only for honing was good enough, not whether using it at all was good. If the torque plate only moves things a 1/100000th then the honing process might cover that.

My New Project...
The VIN is in four places: the tag visible through the windshield, on the driver side door jamb tag, on the right side engine bay inner fender tag, and stamped onto the firewall. These should all match. The build date is only on the door jamb tag. The engine bay plate also lists the engine serial number which will allow you to determine if the car still has the original engine.

My New Project...
Welcome! What's the VIN and build date on the yellow car? It's a series I car so it should be Jan 1971 or earlier.

Graphite added to engine oil?
I'm skeptical of any additive. If the stuff was so great the oil companies should just add it themselves and charge a little extra. The same holds true for gasoline additives. Here's an interesting writeup about Slick-50: http://skepdic.com/slick50.html

John - Sorry we didn't quite get introduced. I'm the one who helped you with your door escutcheon issue.

The Mitty 2006
Yes, I believe so. It's a cool car so nobody seemed to mind that he was parked in with a bunch of Datsuns.
