  3. by this company: Powder & Performance Coatings 24 Industry Drive Unit B. Bedford, Ohio 44146 Phone: (440) 735-2628 Fax: (440) 735-1970 http://www.powderguys.com powderguys@sbcglobal.net This is the email I sent after receiving an email from them telling me Arizona Z Car Fiberglass division has been purchased by Powder & Performance Coatings. I replied: Thank You, do you have a web site and or more information as to what you will be carrying for Z cars? ______________________________ Powder & Performance Coatings reply: Hi Joe, Our website is www.powderguys.com, but the addition for all of the fiberglass will not be finished until this weekend. We will list what molds we have and whether the mold has been refurbished and is ready and available for turning parts. If you have any specific needs, please let us know so we can get the most popular molds ready first and start filling orders. All the Best, Tom Crise President Powder & Performance Coatings, LLC ____________________________________________ I inquired to Dave at Arizona Z Car after seeing some fiberglass parts for sale on his site but they were for local pick up only. He never liked dealing with shipping those parts as they are so delicate and he said that the molds were for sale and if I was interested. Many months have passed and here we are. I'm going to email him to tell him my interests maybe you guys/gals should do the same. I don't know how they got my email other than from Dave, and the distribution list wasn't very long. It was cool that they contacted me though. Just thought I'd share.
  4. Fantastic, I figured so..
  5. Thanks Rob, I'll mark you down for 2 on the n/a side (you and Buck) Before Buck bolts the carbs and header up to the head that he's freshening up I need to test fit the twin turbo manifold to be absolute certain that it won't fit in a S30. I may customize the steering shaft to make it fit before giving in and Ebaying it. If that fails then it's down to single turbo or n/a.
  6. Thanks for the info. After spending 5 years in Japan I have pretty much seen, riden in anything and everything that you can do with an L, now I have to make up my own mind.

  8. Carl, Maybe I did, and if so I apologize to him. UPDATE, G/C Sway Bars are done and car is on the ground. I'm waiting for it to warm up to I can have the new tie rod ends aligned. I decided to scrap the RB conversion as it would have blown my whole budget and now I'm back to the L route. N/A or Turbo is the question... Check my gallery for some pics, these were before the sway bars were put on though. I need some rest... night all.
  9. Your funny bilati. I'm no where rich, I just learn to live within my means. BTW I busted my arse to get where I'm at no hand outs here, also housing market was great 5 years ago, I couldn't even think to a look at a house like this now with the risen market. All the disassembly and reassembly was done in my garage, and the powder coating was done locally, after a few weekends of busting my arse on my "part time" J-O-B. Lesson learned you better think before you make a comment like that, and prejudge someone who you have no idea about. :tapemouth :disappoin
  10. It's all stock except for the coilovers (shortened the strut tubes) with Tokico Illumina strut inserts, 10" Eibach springs, camber plates, new ball joints, tie rod ends, and poly bushings all around. I have all the other pieces needed to convert it to R200 (R200 mustache bar, R200 rear mount). After I build the motor I will get the rest powdercoated and installed. BTW it's also missing the rear sway bar as I'm still waiting on my set from Ground Control.
  11. Very Good Mr Camouflage. I said I have a R200 and half shafts that I'm getting powdercoated later on , not "this is a R200". I just threw the stock R180 and half shafts back in there for now since I'm not using them in the future. No sence on wasting money on powdercoating I'm not going to use. Thanks :stupid:
  12. Here is some updated pics: Z Progress All I'm waiting on is new outer tie rod ends and my Ground Control Sway bar set. Enjoy,
  13. My signature came from after purchasing my Trust twin turbo stainless manifold from Japan. As simple as 240Z TT = Twin Turbo... :stupid:
  14. I forgot to mention this; before any of the work started, and I was being showed around his shop and some of the samples. He showed me the hooks that he hangs the parts off of. Because they have to be bare, and clean for grounding reasons I believe, he demonstrated this for me: He took a hook that was completely coated and cured with color and he bent it back and forth over and over again, using the same principle if you wanted to break a paper clip. After bending it for a while he handed it to me to touch, and I felt no heat. Also the powder coat did not crack, chip, discolor or anything. I didn't believe my eyes and hands so I had to try it myself and resulted the same, I was amazed. That was fuel to add to my fire to go through with it, which I'm glad I did. He was telling me that it costs almost as much as buying new hooks, but he sends huge batches out to get them stripped. Apparently, there are companies out there that specialize in just that.
  15. Sorry, I can't answer that yet. I don't know by how much the powder coat adds to the strength of the metal. I'm sure different metals have different results.
  16. Well thats whats written. It is hammertone, and has silver in it but I don't see the vein either. :stupid:
  17. If your Nissan dealer doesn't have it try and get the part number and run it through: http://www.nissanparts.cc they are on a different database system from Nissan, don't ask me why. I have gotten parts from them that my Nissan dealer says NLA. :stupid:
  18. Stephen, Haven't made any progress as of yet. Rob and I have only transferred his parts from his house to mine to get things ready. We just got his '72 Celica back on the road after last weekends brake excursion. We should start on it in a few weeks. Keep you posted.
