I did! Got a 1975 280z. Rust is minimal. In the process of converting bumpers, and lights over to 240z parts. LOVE IT!

So this is the dash cover they have advertised. I believe its a "full cover" rather than a half cover right? $119, doesnt seem so bad either. Let me know wht you think.

I see that Black Dragon offers a dash cover for the 280z. Im wondering if anyone has one, and what their take is on it. Also if anyone can provide pictures of theirs, that would be very helpful. Thanks

I have a bumper from a 72 240z which im going to swap my stock 75 280z bumper out for. Ive done a lot of research and have the knowledge of the procedures you have to go through (fuel tank lowering, etc.) to complete such a task. But my question is, once that 240 bumper is on, and completely mounted up, and everything is put back into place, is it the same procedure to remove it later as well? Im trying to figure out if i need to get the chroming, etc. done before i attempt to mount it up, or can i do that later without going through all that crap again. Thank you.

Im curious to see if anyone has swapped out 280z taillights for the older 240z ones. It doesnt look impossible, but im wondering if anyone has done it successfully, and if there are any querks to it.

The best looking ones that ive seen are custom made from a shop in Texas. Theyre not the bolt on style, they need to be molded. "Google Image" datsun 240z and check out the charcoal grey 71 240z. It also made SuperStreet magazine. I priced them out, theyre not too bad. I will be ordering soon!

Im going to look at a couple 280z's over the next week, and id like to know where i should look to determine if the cars are too far gone due to rust. Keep in mind, i wont have any way to jack these vehicles up into the air. Hopefully i can raise the carpet to check floor boards. I know there are some signature spots within these z's that rust out and are a pain to fix. Unfortunately im new to the z world, so i need advice. Thank you. Scott

Ive been searching for a 70-73 240z, and have come up with nothing. So ive decided to broaden my search, and start looking for a 280 as well. I cant stand the 5 mph bumpers and Ive learned that the bumpers from the 240 are able to fit the 280 with a little fabricating. Is that true? Also, does anyone know if the fender wells from the 280 are exactly the same as the 240? Reason why is that theres a shop here in the states that custom fabricated some fender flares for a 240, and has molds. So i just wanna make sure that they will fit a 280 as well. If there are any big differences that anyone knows of between these cars (physical feature wise), please let me know. Thank you. Scott in Salem, OR
