For some reason i like those rims Even not "factory installed". Front and rear spoiler standard equipment? Thats interesting! Is this in all cases or was it option selected by customer? I know some real neat Z's that dont have them (that are originally imported here straight from Japan) How about the mud flaps on the rear, dealer or factory installed? edit: i contacted one gentlemen who owns Euro-Z, he agreed that he had spoilers too, but they were removed. Even more interesting!

Assembly beer is necessary in these kind of jobs. Or cider.
  4. Drooooollllll.....
  5. Did it. Now the only barrier ahead is the gland nut. I just love these big arse rusted bolts and nuts... sigh... this thread has some info http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?43456-strut-upper-gland-nut&highlight=gland but anyone has anything to add?
  6. and with rack, i mean control arm
  7. Btw.. can i remove the rack without dropping the differential? seems like the front differential mount must be loosened.
  8. Tell your brother to visit Finland with his Z, its not that far away from there
  9. Oh yes, the shocks. my bad. Spring does not have much tension in it anymore, now that its almost in full lenght. So i might as well change some bushings to suspension rack while im at it. By the way, i do not have stabilising bar at the rear... normal? edit. checked the fsm, rear stabilising bar does not show on there, so i guess its normal then.
  10. Im a complete and total git. Im changing my original 40 year old struts to new: I removed the 3 bolts holding the strut assembly on car, and without thinking i removed the strut bolt. Maybe the beers had something to do with it.. Well no damage done, i got jack under the strut assembly, only that the spring is now decompressed. Now that everything else is removed and loose, the spindle pin is on my way..should i even try to remove it or should i just remove the whole assembly as one? :stupid::stupid:

Well it helps if you post them...
  12. Just restored mine. Works fine. Have you checked all the wires to the motor itself? there is big white connector behind glove box that has all the wires, it might also be the switch itself that is busted. More details please
  13. Changing KYB's to rear. Any hints on that? Do's and not to do's.

I'd love to see some pictures of original style Euro 240Z's, you all know that euro versions were a bit different. Im very interested about these rims that are installed in this particular Z, are those factory rims or aftermarket? That car is a 72 model, as is the magazine. Also the front and rear spoilers intrests me. Kats, Alan? 2.pdf 1.pdf

My current seat situation: drivers seat is okay but a bit dirty. I've tried to clean it with some specified seat-cleaning products but there is always some dirt in the grooves, which makes it look bad. Passenger seat is busted and needs new covers. Is there any superduper product i can use to get rid of the dirt?

For future maintenance, imho is that you get rid of the clips and put velcro or stuff like that to hold the door panel on place. My panels were so worn out that clips were out of option.
