At last, Nearly finished.
 Take my word for it Lachlan, you most certainly would NOT be interested in MY pecs. Yes mate, I plan on going to the Nationals. Just look for an old bloke wearing a black cap with a Boxing Kangaroo and the words, "Vietnam Vet and Proud of It", accompanied by a woman who is pretending she does not know the silly old fool running around drooling over every Zed on show. Rick.

Please, do not be offended, please
Tanny, your last sentence hit right on the button. Having said that, I agree with another of Tanney's comments. Practically every T.V. newscast shows Saddam in discussion with his entire cabinet. With all the high tec you septic tanks have at your disposal, why can't you wait until they are all in one place and send a missile up Saddam's back door, thereby taking out the lot of them. That way, we would not only be sparing the lives of countless thousands of civilians who ALWAYS pay the price but also who knows how many of our own servicemen and women. Nuff said. Rick.

Does your car have a nick name ???
 sjcurtis gave me the idea for this one. (I say give credit where credit is due Steve. Also, if it backfires you get part of the blame). My "SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED" has given my Zed the nick name "PRECIOUS". Steve tells me that his wife refers to his car as THE OTHER WOMAN. What do you call your car ???????? (Be nice now, there may be ladies present). Rick.

At last, Nearly finished.
You bloody beauty, Picked up my Zed from the paint shop yesterday and, of course, immediately went for a cruise. Turned a few heads but there wern't many people around. Spent today refurbishing the old girl (the Zed that is), Did the interior first then the outside, new badges, freshly rechromed bumper bars etc. Went for another cruise this afternoon. Being Saturday there were lots of people around. Quite a lot of interest shown. One young fella in his you beaut souped up Torana nearly rear ended another car. Old bloke about my age kept on walking and looking at my Zed instead of where he was going and bumped into a garbage bin. It's good fun. My Zed is the only one in the area that I know of so when I take her for a spin there's plenty of interest. However, when I think of what it has cost me so far, I have to agree with my wife's nick name for the Zed; PRECIOUS. It sure is. Rick. 1974 Bronze (with gold fleck) 260 Zed Sports Coupe.

Talkative, aren't we ????
Hey there OZZY, I fully agree with your statement that "You can't get more patriotic than the Americans". Any one who has had personal contact with Americans would know just how deep their patriotism goes. I just wish more Australians felt that way about Australia. Americans I have known could name every President who ever held office. How many Aussies can name all our Prime Ministers???????????? The patriotism of Americans is to be envied. Rick. P.S. Note; (not once did I refer to them as Septic Tanks)(THIS TIME).

:classic: :classic: :classic: I just checked out the other Regional sites. North, South, East, West and Central America seems to be mostly asleep. However, with the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia, well, it appears that no ones home. Just shows what a bunch of nice, friendly, talkative people we Aussies are. Rick.

Dirty old man me
When my son started bringing his girlfriends home he would introduce me by saying "Watch out for him, he's a dirty old man" One day I came back with an answer that stopped him in his tracks. I said "No, you're wrong Ken, I've graduated, I'm now a DEVIATE" What am I leading up to you may wonder ? You'll see, just check out; www.flirtmodels.com.au/girls and www.1-800-posters.com See? If looking at photos of good looking women makes me a dirty old man, then, I AM A DIRTY OLD MAN Rick 1974 freshly painted Bronze 260 Zed Sports Coupe.

Someone from Australia...HELP
:finger: Hey there Mr C. What's wrong with country music. (Please note that I left out the "WESTERN" part. It hasn't been country and WESTERN for years now.) I've been involved in music most of my life. I went through the R&R stage, touched on Jazz, (you need to be "Touched"), dabbled in the classical and found that Country is the best of the lot. Believe it or not, one of the best Aussie songs was recorded by an old timer named Smokey Dawson. The song is called High Country. The song will touch the heart of any true blue Aussie who knows the Snowy Mountains. Rick.

Ignore The Spam
I received TWO emails telling me that I've won an evening out with the STARS in Sydney. WOOPEY DUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only other thing I ever won was an all expences paid twelve month holiday in the picturesque south east asian country of Viet Nam. I forwarded the damned thing on to my local Federal Member of Parliament. After all, why should I have all the luck ???????????? I believe in sharing my good fortune. Rick.

Hey there ENRIQUE, You reckon it takes 12 hours to drive accross Texas??? Mate, it would take around a WEEK to drive the length of Queensland and anyone who wants to drive Western Australia north -- south either does it their annual holidays or waits until they retire. Rick.

Gold plated Zeds???????
ROFL Borrowed the magazine and photocopied the article. The mag is HIGH PERFORMANCE IMPORTS, issue number 27. No date on the cover but probably last months issue. (Aussie mag). Apparently Nisdsan America started out with 150 240 Zeds purchased privately, regurgitated 50 of the best using the others as parts cars. The plan was to sell them for around $25,ooo --27,ooo US as "NEW FACTORY WARRANTED CARS". Over half ended up in Japan. A few of them are on the show room floor at dealers. Apparently, one has just 15 klms on the clock. "To sleep, perchance to dream", and dream and dream of owning one of them. Rick !974 Bronze 260 Zed Sports Coupe.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh
 My wife I have put up with each other for 36 years. She has always known that I wanted to restore a classic car, and I knew that I would one day. Priorities; Family comes First. Family comes Second. Family comes Third. Everything else comes after. When we finally settled down after a lifetime in the Army. When the kids have left home. When we could afford it, I GOT MY ZED !!!!!!!! There seems to be far too much Me, Me, Me, and You, You, You in marriage today. That's ONE reason why so many fail. Look at everything from the point of view of WE, WE, WE and treat life together as a partnership and the odds of staying together improve immeasureably. Well, that's my soapbox sermon for the week. Rick.

Extremely interesting site.
Hey there Gav, Remember mate, this is the age of enlightenment. While you and I (and others) might enjoy the first couple of pages, others might be more inclined to find more enjoyment in other pages. Now you septic tanks know why mike likes it so much down here. Rick.
