  Just thought I'd mention that one of our Jack Russells, "TOPSY", is quite good at lawn mowing, concreteing, paving, fence building (She can dig a post hole in no time flat),painting and woodworking. BUT !!! When it comes to working on the ZED, she is an "A" Grade mechanic. IT'S TRUE !! Just ask her, she'll tell you. Rick.

  Ed, believe me, I know what you are going through. It took EIGHT YEARS for my wife and I to get over the loss of our Australian Terrier at the ripe old age of eighteen years. She was a member of the family; grew up with our son. I held her while the vet gave her a lethal injection and, I am NOT ashamed to say that I bawled. Not quite two years ago we decided it was time to get another pet. We chose a Jack Russell. When Barb, (my wife), saw that only two pups remained out of the litter, she suggested we take both. These two little anim. errrr, people ! have certainly brought joy back into our lives. Sorry for rambling Ed, just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in grieving over the loss of a devoted "FRIEND". Rick.
  3.   :devious: :devious: Now, I  my 260 but I think the kindest thing to do with this specimen would be to shoot the poor thing and put it out of it's misery. Rick.

I meant to mention that, with the exception of Caen Fred, The figure STILL stands at ONE. Enrique, I am certain that you would agree that just one request DOES speak volumes. Rick.

:classic: :classic: :classic: Enrique, I think perhaps we should agree to disagree. With respect, Rick.

:devious: :devious: :devious: Mate, go to the bank and get a good supply of those resealable plastic bags the put coins in. They are SOOOO handy. Get yourself a pair of GOOD safety glasses for when you are working under the car. Helps to keep dust, dirt, grit n $^!# out of your eyes. Also protects your eyes from dropped nuts, washers, bolts etc. Rick.

Oh George, you poor old bugger. Just think mate, another 25 to the big FIVE OH, then you're on the down hill run. Congratulations on reaching 25. I can't help wondering if Alfadog has been receiving porn from pinoccio. Live right and live long mate. Rick.

Enrique, While I have the greatest respect for your opinion and wholeheartedly agree with you on practically every point you made, I find that I must disagree about the passing on of information. Once information becomes known, be it good, bad or indifferent, (in MY opinion), it should be made available to anyone who requires it. They can then make up their own minds regarding that information. I do not feel that I have the right to pass judgement on what should or should not be made known. The fact that I have received only one request for the information speaks volumes on what appears to be the general concensus among our members; an overwhelming disregard for the suggested boycott. (Not counting Caen Fred's request). Rick.

LOL LOL G'Day George, Every tool suggested previously is a requirement. Add to the list things like Drill bits, easyouts, punches, hammers of various sizes and head shapes, various screwdrivers Etc. In fact, every hand tool you could POSSIBLY want. One of my favorite sayings is, It Is better to HAVE it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Rick.
  10. Sorry George, can't help you on this one mate, although I know I've seen it somewhere------------------------------ Rick.
  11. :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: It was only on Wednesday night that I logged onto the Revell--Monogram site looking for a model of the Zed but couldn't find one. It just was not listed. Rick.

   Bloody hell Biker, if this is the reaction from the knowledge that a list of boycots exists, I hate to think what it would be like had I posted the list. I am pleased to report that the number of requests for the list remains at ONE. ENRIQUE, I am interested to know what YOU would have done had You been the original recipient? Would you have simply deleted it , thereby denying the information to anyone who is interested or do as I did or dealt with the information in another way ????? Fred, Are you fair dinkum about wanting the list or was the request made tongue in cheek ??? Rick.

I like it. Thanks for that. Rick. Oh, Yes, and a happy easter to you also.

This is just the sort of response I was trying to avoid by NOT posting the list. Talk about putting the cat among the pidgeons. I am in total agreeance with Enrique. The idea of such a boycot is completely unacceptable. However, having said that, I must say that I also believe in the passing on of information, regardless of my own thoughts and beliefs. When I received the email, my first thought was to delete the damned thing but, on reflection, I decided to offer the email to those who would take the trouble to ASK for it. To date, I have received only ONE email requesting a copy. Information, be it good or bad, should not be hidden away just because one person does not agree with it. It should be disseminated as widely as possible however, (and I realise that I am contradicting myself), in this instance, due to the subject matter, I decided to be selective as to WHO I would pass on the information to. Should that one (so far) member decide to post it on this site then, that is his decision entirely. Rick.

:devious: :devious: :devious: Received a very interesting email from an ex service organisation listing a heap of companies owned or majority owned by French companies. The email gives reasons why those companies should be boycotted by Americans. I will NOT post it on this site. If anyone wants a copy, email me and I'll send it to you. One very noticeable company is NISSAN, which apparently is majority owned by Renault. Rick.

  La Me, You say that you particularly want a 2+2 so you can act like a taxi driver for your mates. Question; Are all your mates MIDGETS ??????????????? I tried sitting in the rear seat of a 2+2 and wound up with my knees jammed under my chin. Wouldn't have one. (Personal choice). Given a choice between an unregistered for $1000 and a registered Z for $3500 I would lean more towards the registered Z, (as long as it comes with a roadworthy cert.). I would also go over the entire car with a strong magnet wrapped in a soft rag, (avoids damaging the paint job), to check for bogged up cancer. I bought my 260 Z Sports Coupe in Brisbane for $3500, and drove it up to Rockhampton. After having the carbies tuned, the second thing was replacing the welsh plugs. The originals were as thin as tissue. I had them replaced with brass plugs. Since then I've spent, at last count, around 8k and I still have the rear wheel bearings to replace. (Hopefully that will be it). When you are looking for parts, just post a request for info on this site and you will get all the info you need. Good luck and ENJOY your Zed. Rick.
  18. AWWWW, Lachlan, the GUTTER ????? That's where I grew up mate!!!!!! Rick.
  19. :devious: :devious: :devious: :devious: Hey there Lachlan, Are sure you don't mean bare BODIES???????? To an old beach bum like me, bare Shells sounds a little kinky mate. However, there is absolutely NOTHING kinky about bare BODIES. Rick.

:stupid: :stupid: :stupid: AWWW GEE Z Kid, What a let down. Here I was, thinking that we were about to be introduced to a tried and tested, sooper dooper, you beaut American Wonder Product that would do everything short of programming the space shuttle guidance systems. Oh, well, at least we've got WD40, CRC and RP7. Rick.

:stupid: :stupid: :stupid: George, you are NOT the ONLY poor fool who needs enlightenment. I've never heard of the stuff either. Might be an American wonder product. C'mon Jeff, share your knowledge with us poor denizens of the deep, deep, deep, DEEP south. Rick.
  22. Welcome to the club, Drunkenmaster. The interior of my 260 was originally tan, now its black. A good, thorough cleaning and a few coats of black vinyl spray paint was all it took. Looks good. If you have a problem or a question mate, this is the site where you'll find an answer. Rick.

:devious: :devious: :devious: There is one aspect of war that I would like to see a return to. I'd like to see the leaders of countries leading their troops into battle. With THEIR sons at their side. I can just imagine little Johnny Howard cradling a rifle in his arms with 60 to 80 pounds on his back waving his arms calling "FOLLOW ME". ROFL Somehow I think there would be a lot less war. Rick.

  Tanny, I'm with you ref crowds. Can't stand them. I keep checking my back. In my neck of the woods, during winter it often gets down to 2 or 3 degrees C but thankfully the winters are not anywhere as severe as yours. I know what it is to shovel snow, spent three years in the ski resort town of Thredbo which is in the Snowy mountains of New South Wales, close to the Victorian border. I sincerely hope you have a woman who likes to cuddle on cold nights, if not, keep the hot water bottle handy. Rick.
