Thanks Lachlan, You've undoubtedly put a smile on the face of every member who clicks on the link. One day you'll have to tell me what I did wrong. After watching for ..... gee, .... I don't know how many times, I strongly suspect that the male lead is played by Our Bill, professionally backed up by none other than Enrique, Will, Victor and Mike. I'll leave the ladies to the imagination of those who know them. Rick. :devious: :devious:

Gee, It's a good thing the bikes wern't damaged huh???? Rick. :devious: :devious:
  4. G'Day Kevin, Mate, ... complete your public profile. You never know, there just might be another member living close by who could help out. For that matter, a member might be a potential buyer. It would be a BIG help if you could post some pix, not only of the carbies but of the car itself, to show the general condition. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  5. G'Day Paul, Estapol is a Wattle product. It's a polyurethane gloss, resistant to heat, household chemicals and hard wear. Primarily used on timber furniture and floors. I've done a bit of furniture restoration. When I had the farm, I used to restore the tractor implements using another Wattle product, the three step Killrust system; Killrust Rust Eater, " Metal Primer, " Epoxy enamel. Both the primer and enamel are rust inhibiting. I used the Killrust system on the parts of my Zed that I could handle and after 6 years, there's no sign of the cancer in those areas. Warming the paint worked for me. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  6. Considering the paint is applied with a roller, It's coming along quite nicely. Has anyone tried warming the paint before applying it??? Whenever I've used Estapol Clear on a large flat surface, I've found that by leaving the can in the sun for an hour or so, the paint spreads easier and almost eliminates brush marks. Will, Put it down to the inability of this silly old fart to post a link in the thread that WORKS !!!!!!:tapemouth I tried four times, checked it each time only to find it didn't bloody work so I've humbled myself and emailed Lachlan, (Alfapup), and asked him to give it a go for me. Take my word for it, it's worth the wait. Rick. :devious: :devious:

Hmmm, It didn't work. I'll get someone else to do it. Rick.
  9. I voted for nos. 1, 2 & 10. Why ?, because the car was complete and original when I became it's guardian and, while I've had to replace quite a few bits and pieces, I've gone to quite some lengths to ensure that the parts are RIGHT, as I intend to keep the old dear in as original condition as possible with only one exception. I've had 240Z carbies installed. I pick her up from the carbie specialist on friday. Rick. :devious: :devious:

Disapointed. I spent the best part of half an hour in the toy section of Big W today, rummaging, and I mean RUMMAGING through all the Hot Wheel models. By the time I was finished, there were more models on the shelf below than there were left on the pegs but, all to no avail. Guess we down under types will have to wait a little longer. Another bloke, about my age, who was also looking at the models, commented to me that; "It's great having a grandson isn't it?. It gives us an excuse to play with cars huh ?". Every now and again, someone asks where to get bits and pieces for their Zed, so I thought it would be a good idea to list them on this page. I've been getting mine from All Z Parts in Sydney (Australia). Website; www.allzparts.com.au Email; allzparts@aol.com Phone; 02 9476 0966 Fax; 02 9476 0711 Rick.

I think I may have shared the following with you a couple of years ago but, they're good enough to repeat. The following are supposed to have been written by children from a Catholic elementary school who were answering questions about the old and new testaments. * Adam and Eve were created from an apple tree. * Noah's wife was called Joan of Ark. * Lot's wife was a pillar of salt by day, but a ball of fire by night.:classic: * The Jews were a proud people and throughout history, they had trouble with the unsympathetic Genitals. * Moses went up on Mount Cyanide to get the Ten Ammendments. * The first commandment was when Eve told Adam to eat the apple. * The seventh commandment is thou shalt not admit adultery.:nervous: * Moses died before he ever reached Canada. * The greatest miracle in the Bible is when Joshua told his son to stand still and he obeyed him. * Solomon, one of David's sons, had 300 wives and 700 pocupines. * When the three wise guys from the east side arrived, they found Jesus in the manager. * Jesus was born because Mary had an immaculate contraption. * Jesus enunciated the Golden Rule, which says to do one to others before they do one to you. * The people who followed the Lord were called the 12 decibels. * The epistles were the wives of the apostles. * One of the opossoms was St. Mathew who was also a taximan. * St. Paul preached holy acrimony, which is another name for marriage. * Christians have only one spouse. This is called monotony.:dead: Rick. :devious: :devious:

Old folks are worth a fortune with silver in their hair, gold in their teeth, stones in their kidneys, lead in their feet and gas in their stomaches. I bumped into an old mate the other day, ... havent seen him for donkey's years. He said that, over the past few years, he'd made a lot of new friends. He said: "As soon as I wake up, Will Power helps me out of bed. Then I go to see John. Next, it's time for Uncle Toby to come along, followed by Billy T. They leave and Arthur Ritis shows up and stays for the rest of the day. He doesn't like to stay in one place very long, so he takes me from joint to joint. After a busy day, I'm really tired and glad to spend the evening with Johnny Walker. What a life!! Oh yes, I'm also getting to know Al Zheimer. The preacher came over the other day. He said that at my age I should be thinking about the hereafter. I tol him that I do, all the time. No matter where I am; if I'm in the parlour, upstairs, in the kitchen or down in the basement, I ask myself, WHAT AM I HERE AFTER????????" Rick. :devious: :devious:
  14. * The rector will preach his farewell message after which the choir will sing "Break Forth Into Joy". * Irving jensen and Jessie Carter were married on October 24th in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days. * Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person(s) you want remembered. * Low Self Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday. Please use the back door. * Weight watchers will meet at 7:00pm at the First Prespyterian Church. Please use the large double door at the side entrance. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  15. Yair Will, Had a lot of fun there as well. Did I tell you about the street seller at the Pyramids who wouldn't take no for an answer ? He followed me for about 100 yards, and kept shoving a model of the sphinx (I think) in my face. He spoke English, but learned a few Australian phrases when I told him where I was going to shove it if he didn't p*ss off, accompanied by a few other expletives, .... he finally got the message. Barb got up me for it, saying that I shouldn't speak to them like that so, when we arrived at the Valley of the Kings, and she started getting hassled, I just let the hawkers hustle her. Any that came near me, I just quietly said, ... ..... P*SS OFF. It worked. Rick. :devious: :devious:

I reckon that lady must be a six pack short of a carton. I would have liked to see the 911 operator send a squad car to put the fear into her for tying up the 911 line when someone might have had a REAL emergency and unable to get through because that dill pickle was waffeling on about a burger. Rick. :devious: :devious:

  18. The following are reported to be actual announcements from Church Bulletins. *Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our church and the community. * For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery down stairs. * This afternoon there will be a meeting in the south and north ends of the church. Children will be baptised at both ends. * Tuesday at 4:00pm there will be an ice cream social. All ladies giving milk will please come early. * Thursday at 5:00pm there will be a meeting of The Little Mothers Club. All those wishing to become little mothers, please see the minister in his study. * This being Easter Sunday, we will ask Mrs. Lewis to come forward and lay an egg on the alter. * Next sunday, a special collection will be taken to defray the cost of the new carpet. All those wishing to do something on the new carpet will come forward and get a piece of paper. * The sermon this morning will be, "Jesus Walks On The Water". The sermon tonight will be,"Searching For Jesus". And, in my opinion, the best of tonight's offering is: * "Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of all those things not worth keeping around the house. Don't forget to bring your husbands". Rick. :devious: :devious:

G'Day Arne, Congratulations on a real FIND. I'm glad it's found a home with someone who appreciates Zeds and knows how to look after one. Is the sunroof one of the COENEN sliding variety???? I have one in "Precious". The P.O. told me it was a dealer option. It's the only thing I don't like about the car. It takes up about 2 to 3 inches of head room. Rick. :devious: :devious:

Don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things. One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor. One nice thing about egotists: They don't talk about other people. To be intoxicated is to feel sophisticated, but not able to say it. The older you get, the better you realise you were. Age is a very high price for maturity. Women like silent men, they think they're listening. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day. Before they invented drawing boards, what did they go back to?. Do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery?. If all the world is a stage, where is the audience sitting?. If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest have to drown too?. If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?. If work is so terrific, how come they have to pay you to do it?. If you're born again, do you have two belly buttons?. If you ate pasta and antipasta, would you still be hungry?. If you try to fail and succeed, which have you done?. Why is it called tourist season if we can't shoot at them?.

Enrique, I wholeheartedly agree with you mate. Barb and I used to do a lot of bushwalking and camping and started teaching our son to love the bush before he could walk. We had what was marketed as a Papoose Carrier. I carried him around on my back everywhere we went. He now does the same thing with his own kids. A shame there isn't more people doing it. You never know, maybe more will follow Steve's example. It really came as a surprise to hear that he had died but, I wasn't surprised at HOW he died. He was always pushing his luck and I guess his luck just ran out. Craig, A couple of days ago, when the free tickets were being given out, a young bloke who had received a ticket, noticed a young kid crying in his mother's arms because because they had missed out on getting a ticket. The young bloke GAVE his ticket to the kid. It was reported on the T.V. News. I guess there's still hope for the youth of today after all. Rick. :devious: :devious:
