It's really very simple mate, Just work out a roster system; Monday, .... the yella terra Tuesday, ... the blue babe And so on. In order to avoid any jealousy from your ladies, walk on Sundays. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  2. THANKS WILL Thought I'd yell loudly to make sure you heard me. Rick. :devious: :devious:

Well, ... I'd be inclined to wrap a good magnet in a soft cloth and run it over all the usual areas where car cancer is found. I get very suspicious when someone says, "There's no rust in this Zed". If the magnet loses attraction, there's bog, not metal under the paint. Rick. :devious: :devious:

G'Day mate, Your Zed looks beeeeeautiful just as she is. As you may have already noted, we have members who drop V8's in, upgrade to improve performance and safety and generally add bits and pieces that you won't find in any Zed manuals. Then you have the died in the wool adherants to originality. Yep, ... we got 'em all here. But one thing we all agree on is, .... while we'll happily voice opinions when asked, when it comes to the bottom line, ... Your car, ... your decision. Welcome David and please let us know what your plans are for your Zed, plus pics. We LOVE pics. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  5. I must apologise most sincerely for asking such a blatantly blasphemous question on this, the best Zed site on the web, .... but, ..... I need a good pic of a '65 Mustang logo. You know, ... the pony on the grill. Can anyone help me out?????????????? Rick. :devious: :devious:
  6. Tomohawk, You did say Rubber Doll Parts, didn't you Tom??????????????? Do you keep wearing it out Mate ????????? Rick. :devious: :devious:
  7. G'Day Randy. Your problem is very similar to mine, except that the bolts on the guide channel broke off mine. About all you can do is grease all the channels, replace the front sash and the guide channel and experiment with adjusting the angles. You should find that by sliding the guide channel onto it's arm, then positioning the bolts through the holes to be relatively easy. Adjusting the angles can be a very frustrating exercise. Be careful not to overtighten the nuts on the guide channel. They're notorious for breaking the bolts off. You could try checking the other door as to positioning the nuts and bolts. It will at least give you a starting point. Have fun and all the best, Rick. :devious: :devious:

G'Day Will, I dunno about big envelopes mate. What I envisaged was a sea container fitted out with aircon, bed, well stocked fridge, wall to wall plush carpeting, toilet and bathroom facilities etc, all charged to the addressee. (I aint cheap). Rick. :devious: :devious:
  9. Yair Tom, I figured that out but the first few posts certainly had me confused. Rick. :devious: :devious:

Will, It's absolutely impossible for me to get into strife with my "She Who Must Be Obeyed". That's because I'm never OUT of the S**T. It's only the depth of it that varies. Tomohawk, Ummm, .... yair, .... yair, .......ummmm, .... I think. What really got my knickers in a knot was the car salesman's lack of knowledge. Every vehicle I looked at, I was assured would "have no trouble towing your van mate". He went a nice, sickley shade of off white, then bright pink when I told him he was bullsh88ting me. Oh, My Gawd, Golly Gosh and geewhillackers "E", If that was the case, I'd need 4 little wheels on the roof of "Precious" and have a very uncomfortable driving position. No mate, gravity keeps us right side up down here, which is a good thing as, otherwise, all the American tourists would have their blood run to their head. I have to really tighten the seatbelt to keep the "bounce" to a minimum on rough surfaces as there's about 1 inch of headroom because of the *&^%$#@%^&*$# sunroof. I'm a lot shorter now than I was before I bought "Precious". Rick. :devious: :devious:

Hey there Jack, We should be O.K. mate, after all it is Open Discussion. You mention towing with a Zed. My "Precious" had a towbar fitted when I adopted her. I got rid of it real quicksmart. One of the most unusual things I've seen in Van parks, is a 24 footer being towed by a "E" Type Jag. Rick. :devious: :devious:

Sunroof, .... SUNROOF, AAAAAARRRRGGGHHHH If it's the type that drops down and slides back, made by COENEN, then, ........ if you're five feet nothing in your jocks and socks, ... you'll be O.K. BUT!!! if you're around the six feet tall mark, carry plenty of aspirin in the glove box. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  14. Both, Will. I think we and the next generation or two or even three are fortunate to have the oportunity to enjoy the Zed, one of the ten most important marques in the history of motoring. However, given another 50 or so years down the track, regardless of how much TLC we lavishly squander on our Zeds, I venture to suggest that they'll be as scarce as hen's teeth. By having a few preserved in museums, our descendants will be able to gawk and wonder at our driving expertise and bravery in driving such death traps before flying back home in their pre-programmed, robotically controlled, accident proof, electrically powered, maintenance free 760Z Sports Coup Skimmer. After admitting my confusion on the CB Radio thread, I began to wonder if everyone knows what the term TOWBALL DOWNLOAD means ????? When I bought my Prado, I had to educate the car salesman, who didn't have a clue, so I thought I'd check with y'all. (That's the full extent of my false American accent). Rick. :devious: :devious:
  16. Hmmmm, I must admit that this thread had me more than just a little confused after reading the first few posts. Caravanning with a Zed??? ... it'd need to be a bloody small van. It's now obvious that the American definition of caravanning is vastly different to the Australian definition. Down here in the Land Under Down Under, when I go caravanning, I've got a 18ft pop top home away from home, (caravan), hitched up to my Prado. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  17. Good news Andy, Fingers crossed that you're right about the minimal rust. I sometimes think that rust in a Zed was a factory addition. Post some pics ASP mate, we'd all love to see your latest love affair. Rick. :devious: :devious:

That's the kind of help/advice/assistance this site is famous for. Well done "E". Rick. :devious: :devious:
  19. I'm fairly certain that we've had this one before. Then again, ... maybe we haven't. Ummm, .... what was the question again? ... at age 63 I might be suffering from short term memory loss. At least, ... I would be if I could remember what it was I'd forgotten. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  20. Juan, She's coming along very nicely. Looking forward to pics of the finished article. That welder with the "T" handle had me thinking for a second or two though. Reminded me of a little gadget that you connect wires to that make things go BOOM !!!

"She Who MUST Be Obeyed" spotted my 260Z hidden at the back of a used car yard. It was love at first sight. That was in 2000. I'm 63 now, ... you can do the maths. Paid $3,500 Aus for it. My wife christened it "Precious". I get a real kick out of seeing people do stupid things when staring at "Precious", ... like walking off the footpath,(sidewalk to you lot), into garbage bins and, on one occasion, a WALL. My son has his eye on "Precious" but I've told him I'm going to drive it through the Pearly Gates. Rick. :devious: :devious:
  23. Yair, I agree, .. potentially a great site. Their moderator, Steve, is a busy bloke though. Rick.:devious: :devious:

Does anyone have a door window GUIDE CHANNEL to spare?????????? Seems they're about as rare as hen's teeth. My "She Who Must Be OBEYED" decided she'd come with me for a quick spin around town, started to wind up the window and complained that it was hard to wind so, on our return, I removed the door panel and, LO and BEHOLD, one snapped off bolt. (I wondered what that rattling sound was coming from the door). Anyway, .... anyone got a guide channel they can let me have?????????? Rick. :devious: :devious:

A college professor was doing a study, testing the senses of first graders by using a bowl of Lifesavers. He gave all the children the same kind of Lifesavers, one at a time, and asked them to identify them by colour and flavour. The children began: "Red ..............cherry". "Yellow ..........lemon". "Green ...........Lime". "Orange .........orange. Finally the Professor gave them all a HONEY flavoured Lifesaver. After eating them, none of the children could identify the taste. "Well", he said, "I'll give you all a clue. It's what your mother might sometimes call your father". One little girl looked up in horror, spat out the remains of her Lifesaver and yelled, "Oh, my God!!, .... spit them out everybody, .... They're arseholes". Rick. :devious: :devious:
