Header problem
Dan: The first muffler pipe with flange connection was cut on a slant (/) and the muffler pipe was cut to match, so that the rest of the system was aleigned properly, then welded together. Nice neat job and it looks custom. Car still in winter storage so I can't snap a photo. I did not talk to MSA re this initial problem...... Was sure loud while driving to the shop! When I get the car out of storage, Wed., I will take a digital photo and post. Ken

Header problem
I had the same problem when I installed a MSA 6-1 jet hoted header into SilverBullet240Z. The two bottom bolts (5&7 oclock) fit and could be snugged up, however, the top bolt (12 oclock) could only tightened to a point where there was a 1/2 inch space between the flanges. A noisey drive to the shop to have the connecting pipe flange fitted. Worked fine and no further problems. Header is mounted normally on head with no twisting. Ken

Rear glass needed
The changeover date to horizontal defroster grid was 1/72. My 72 (SilverBullet240Z) had a production date of 10/71 and had a vertical defroster grid. The last month of production that used vertical grids was 12/71. The 72 model production began, I believe, in Aug 71.

Silver 240Z w 4 Spoke Wheels
Thanks Vic and Pete. Local show will allow one to stay in stock class with up to 4 mods but will deduct for each mod. One can stay in Street Modified class with 15 mods or under. More that that gets you into Nissan or Ultra class. Nice photo Pete of the SilverBullet240Z. Drives as nice as it looks

Mr K. and ZZTOM
ZZTOM....Outstanding job you have done on your car!! I was really impressed with all the work you have done within the engine compartment. Being in Street Modified class for some time now, I have noticed a great improvement in cars thruout this class in general. Every year the bar is raised. Glad to hear you enjoyed the convention. We sure worked hard to try and ensure that everyone had a good time and that no question went unanswered. I have posted a link to the convention photo's rather than try to post over 250 individual photo's via my slow modom. I really wanted to show 2Many what he missed. He could of even had a ride around the road course with Steve Millen. Had a nice chat with him, got his autograph, in his book and some nice photo's. Shot over 200 pictures of the convention. Already the snow is gathering on White Face Mtn at Lake Placid, NY. I don't want to put away SilverBullet yet. Did a 200 mile run to White River Junction Vermont on Saturday to clear out the cobwebs. She is really fast!! Ken

Photo's 16th ZCCA Convention, Nashua, New Hampshire
Yes, the convention turned out great! Course you will most likely hear more from attendees. We worked for over two years setting up the convention. Then it was flat out for ten days. Among the notables: Over 450 registered attendees. Seven days of clear blue skies and sunshine. Sunday and Monday attendees arrived and settled in. Opening banquet that evening with the Texas club providing the Chili. Had a raffle for Paul Newman's Hole In The Wall Gang and ended up with approximately $6,000. for his charity. Tuesday was the Poker Rally thru the western part of New Hampshire and Vermont border. Great roads and fall color. Wednesday was the car show and I never saw so many outstanding cars in one place before. Thursday we were at the New Hampshire International Speedway. Steve Millen was with us and drove the road course several times (and even took passengers around the course) BSR 33 was there and running the course. The day ended with a great Clam and Lobster dinner! Friday the attendees were bussed to Boston for the " Duck Tours". Even Steve Millen got to drive a duck! Closing banquet Friday night and Steve Millen was the guest speaker. A great New Zealander (now lives in Cal. ) I think all that attended had a great time from what we are hearing................. Splash Pan
Just mounted my splash pan on my 72 (build 10/71) yesterday. Painted bottom of pan chassis black and the top side, metallic silver (to match the rest of the engine compartment and car color). Looks great and I think it will improve radiator cooling (tho I have had no problems with "SilverBullet240Z".

keepin' up with the joneses
zztom,,,Great job you have done on your engine!! Only suggestion I could offer is to get some color (e.g. block, ect). depending on your engine compartment color. Are you also detailing the engine compartment while the engine is out? Convention is getting close, tick, tick, tick................................
