Ya, im sure he will. He is very knowledgeable and excited to hear about the project car I found. I got to hang in the back shop and see some of the things he was up to. Last time I saw your car in the shop I got a set of 4 wheels to just roll around on while I refinsh mine, there was a cadalliac in there too.

I jsut dropped by ther ethe other day but noone was home. I did see the Fairlady out front though. It was a green 260 I believe. I think I am going to have him build my entire motor. I got all the parts, I just want him to put it together with timing and everything. I think I rememebr your yellow car in the shop when I first came to see him a long time ago.

F ya on the R200 rear! Yes, its super strange to see this car here but I am going all out with it and it should be super fun. Rumor has it it was brought in to the US from Z1 here in ATL like 10 years ago. It has no US VIN stamped on the car from what I can see but it has one on the title. No build date on the door jamb, is it on he door itself b/c those are at the painters already. Anyone else let me know what else I got to work with. Thanks

Cool. Is there anywhere on the doors or on the car that will have an exact build date? Also, my serial number is only 006841 , how many were made? TIA

This def looks like a ZX, but they were still 280Z in japan at the time and 280ZX here in the US correct? Does this have the R200 rear end from the pics? Whats the best few upgrades for the buck? 300zx injectors, CAI, 60mm TB. I dont want turbo or nitrous....yet. I got most other things covered. Getting a ported p90 head, got square tube headers, 83 ZX turbo rebuilt bottom end with turned crank, balanced, new graphite coated bearings, pistons ceramic coated and new rings, decked. Its not bored out sadly.....and can anyone translate Japanese.

So I came across this project car and have already sunk some serious funds into making it a DD for myself in the near future. The car is titled in GA already but is labeled a 4cyl, 4dr. model car somehow. Whatever. It has the L28 with F54 and P79 head. Body is 99% rust free. 4spd. 14" SSR MKII wheels! SICK! and other things I cant remember. Has a plaque above the shifter saying Special Edition - "Import Car of the Year". I think its a 1979 280z from either Japan or NZ. The head visors are in jap along with all the stickers under the hood and the metal badge under the hood. Its stamped HGS130 006841 also. Its a 2+2. All red interior, two tone silver exterior. What do I have from what you can tell. Thanks a bunch and you should check out this build about to happen on this thing. I already have a great color combo waiting.
