  1. How much for the Astro Van?
  2. Hopefully he parks it in a parking space way out when he takes it to the grocery store to prevent door dings.
  3. Maybe he was the recent billionaire from the powerball. Money would have little value at that point.
  4. What a beautiful car.
  5. Is that the correct shift knob?

I found a barrel nut assortment pack on eBay a while back, had the perfect size for these.

I just sinched up my seatbelt.
  8. "Mainly just needs floors, frame rails, rockers, and rear quarter skins." lol.
  9. Fred and Wilma would be right at home.
  10. I bought a 240 that had Eibach progressive springs on it, one of the worst driving Z's I've ever been in. Looked similar to this car on how it sat. Immediately put it in the air and replaced with stock springs.

I may have been part of that thread, I'll do some searching.
  12. If @Terrapin Z is the seller, he's a stand up guy.
  13. No no, I was making a joke about the comment at the end of the classified. I found it amusing. I never reached out to anyone about that car. The internet definitely has its limitations.
  14. I guess if you're not reasonable, he'll unload a bunch of sarcastic remarks your way?
  15. It wouldnt accelerate smoothly, surge during driving at any speed. I reached down and adjusted mixture controls and all problems solved. Many years flying RC airplanes, they do exactly the same thing. The only thing I need to do is recheck the balance.
  16. I just rebuilt my carbs, tuned and synced per the manual and it was very lean. Turned mixture knobs almost a full turn RICH and it runs perfect.

This is my 1/71 switch. Flash.
  18. My 1971 series 1 car needed a head gasket (leaking because I think the head wasnt torqued correctly), and also reinstalled original carbs after overhauling and associated emissions equipment back to stock. Engine was rebuilt and has about 2000 miles on it from the original owner a while back. Head and block are straight. Car sat for about 18 years without being driven. Needed new brake lines and a brake booster. I had the brake booster overhauled at Power Brake Booster in Oregon, they did a great job. This is an original car with 48,000 miles documented. Only "restoration" work completed on the car was paint and body. All original interior. No leaks and runs great.
  19. Third time it's been listed on eBay. Looks like a great car.
  20. I did a search and didnt see these come up, thanks. I have to say it looks great though.
  21. Not sure where or when I got this, but I found it in a stash of stuff I was going through that I've had for years. I know it's incorrect to think of him designing the car, but where would this come from? It's a grill badge, and really good quality.
  22. I've been chasing raw fuel vapor coming from my car, with dropping the tank, replacing hoses, pressure tested vapor tank, I them moved this flow guide valve lines. I wonder if a bad or clogged check valve in the flow guide valve can be the source of vapor I smell in the garage?
  23. I read in the FSM that the 240 has a sealed system, no bypass in the gas cap. Somewhere it reads do not install a vented gas cap.
  24. The tube from the cleaner to the flow guide valve moves in what direction? Isn't under vacuum being inside the cleaner? FSM says it goes out of the cleaner to flow guide valve.

Replace the sender gasket while the tank was down, and the sender is still shiny with no corrosion. Looking at your pic of the seep at the sender makes me think I have some kind of seep somewhere lime that I'm chasing. I'm going to install the SUs and all the original stuff. PO put the webers on.
