looks like he tried to make a ferarri body kit. if he slams it an puts some really wide 14inch rims with a small tire and have a really long dual pipe that extends about 2-3 feet from the rear angled upwards he would have the makings of a bosozuko car.

how are the rails and floor pans? are these cars hard to come by in hawaii? its hard to say how much work is needed since you cant see the car run personally. guess you can take worst case scenario price the parts to fix it and see if its worth your time.

i looked at the spring gap in the rear and its still has a good gap. its easy to bounce the rear compared to the front. i guess the rear strut mounts sit lower on a 240. maybe i can make some 1inch shims to raise it in the rear. and cut half a coil in the front to bring it down about an inch in front.

guess its pretty safe to in general a stock 240 put out close to 100hp 140ish trq stock. kinda common practice for auto manufactures to use engine dyno readings to advertise there cars.

back than didnt alot of car makers measure horse power on a engine dyno? i wonder how much a stock z actually puts out at the wheels on a dyno

you know there was a similar z for sale in houston but all the windows were broken from the hurricane that went trough houston. it look almost exactly like that one. right down to the it was sunken into the ground. i offered him 400bux for it because i really needed a parts car asap!!! he look at me and said i need 2000!!! TWO THOUSAND!!! i said, really!?!?why??? was one of the first 240 to roll off the assembly lines in the US??? you have the original window sticker??? all he said was, well its a 71 240z they are rare...after that i just turned around and walked away... its probably still sitting there rusting away.

the red car sounds about right for a truly restored z. the black and silver one sounds kinda pricey for a modified z but its looks to be a very extensive and heavy refresh. either way the both look nice.

i wanted to see if the shock were any good. i say the rear shock dont look blown to me. what you guys think :stupid:.. the front shock seem good at least. guess need to fix that too =X

looks like the original owner modified this wire. it was bundled together that all the wires that go to the alt. from looking at the FSM i thinks its just a ground. but why the heck does it split into two wires?? so should i just ground it onto the chassis?

i dont run anti virus on my pc either. and it runs perfectly fine. ive never had anti virus on any of my pc's. i just run anti spy-ware. all my comps have run smoothly.

actually the mind set of hackers are to target what can cause the most damage. people thing macs are superior but try not doing any updates on the new macs and they start acting up. might not be as bad as pc but they will start acting up. you can make worms and viruses for mac os, but hackers have nothing to gain from infecting macs. when you rob a bank you dont go for the coins you go for the bills. the guy that hacked the iphone used a worm to do it. i say if mac started to hit high numbers like pc mac would be pushing updates daily instead of monthly.

I think im going to give that paint he used a try. the texture came out nice. i think they miss labeled the can i bought because that $^!# was glossy as hell for flat black. as far as material, i just used what i had. i have alot of fiberglass weave that my brother bought to "repair a boat" he bought.

the blue stuff is just soft styrofoam. than i used body filler to full the cracks and the missing chunk. the filler came in a blue canister its suppose to be half the weight of bondo. after that i put a layer of woven fiberglass to make sure the cracks dont reform. i dont like the vinyl paint though its way to glossy. thought it tone down once it dried but it barely did.

hehe there's a lot worst in my neighborhood. my brother decided he wanted to park that boat in front of the garage door..... of all place he coulda put that boat and not work on it. he had to put it in front of the only garage door.

this looks to be a pretty expensive swap. probably cheaper just to get an r200 diff from a zx if you just want something more beefy. even getting a aftermarket lsd for a r200 dif seems cheaper than this r230 short nose swap. - to add just to add it up mount kit and custom hubs 495+495= 990 just to mount it. + what ever you paid for the vlsd r200 short nose.

there is a e12-80 module on ebay for 50bux.
