  2. Can we get pictures please.
  3. Thanks for the info guys.
  4. So is there a site out there that might have dates for the motors numbers?
  5. I agree! I dont like jackstands. I always use a few solid blocks of wood or blocks.
  6. My 76 280 has this motor in it... L28 187452. What year would this motor be from? Its not the original motor. Im guessin like 77 or 78. Is there a site that I could use to find this info?

After testing them out I really didnt think they were all that bright so I just tapped into the system.... But then again I dont have the car running so they might get brighter...

Im going to have 240 turn signals in the air dam. The driving lights will not blink. I came off the hot wire only.

Yes it does make the car look really cool at night! I didnt like the idea of the switch for them so I just hot wired them in to the turn signals. They look great! <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=drivinglights2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/drivinglights2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=drivinglights.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/drivinglights.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I installed some driving lights on the 280 grill to fill in the place where the stock turn signals were. Thanks for the idea Arne! <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=IMGP2013.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/IMGP2013.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I pulled the header off the parts car today. Its getting sent off monday to be high temp powder coated. Then it will be put on my car! <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=NewHeader.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/NewHeader.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
  14. Well Bud I had the same problem. It turned out that the wires were touching in the connector for the heater blower and had melted together.
  15. After 3 hours of sanding and a few coats of paint I got the air dam on the car! <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=IMGP2009.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/IMGP2009.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=IMGP2008.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/IMGP2008.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=IMGP2007.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/IMGP2007.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
  16. Dude that 280 has so many mods man! You would be lucky to find one just like that, but it can be done. 240, 260, and 280s up to 78 I believe are all the same size car body just different bumpers. So really you could buy a 1970 thru 1978 and make it look like that car. Just by looking at the car I cant even tell you if its a 260 or a 280. The 240 had different side badges so its not a 240.
  17. I’m a 280 guy as well. Really the only reason why I’m doing this is because the rubber bumper filler was falling apart. I got a custom rear bumper on my parts car, so I thought might as well modify the car a bit to make it look cleaner.
  18. There is a stamp on the back of the air dam. I believe it says Xeron.
  19. I just turned 23 a week ago! I have been into z cars since I was 14. When I turned 16 my uncle had a friend that was selling a 76 280 with a v8 and fresh paint for 1500. My father would not let me get it. "To Fast" So... I was givin a 1976 datsun 710 sadan! Yes I know totally ugly! They dont look to bad restored but this one was rusting out and all that jazz! I had her for a year till I got a better car. Then Finally got a stock 76 280z last year that I have now. Also just got a 75 280 parts car. FUN FUN FUN!
  20. Will do Johnny will do!
  21. James Whitman told me it was a euro bumper! Grrr.... oh well.
  22. What do you all suggest with the bumper. Its got a few dings in it. I was thinking powder coating it black and then having a silver grill.
  23. Euro bumper, front air dam, and turn signals. Payed 180. <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=IMGP2006.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/IMGP2006.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
  24. Yes there is and see will run but its bad.

Put that custom aluminum bumper off the parts car on today. It looks ok. OH! All is cleaned up and put back together too! <a href="http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/?action=view&current=newzbumper.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g102/timwthcheese/newzbumper.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
