    If your peg is still there, crack open the switch housing that is held on the inside of the blinker switch by two screws. Inside is the extremely simple mechanism that clicks your blinkers off. Make sure the spring inside is not damaged. If it is not, clean it up and put a little light grease (lithium grease or the like) on the plastic bits inside. This has worked for me in the past.
