good point thanks... I think I still want a set (to put on my wall ) :>

NISMO header fitment
flauski why are you driving a LHD 240k? I was thinking if its like normal headers they just need to be moved a fraction. A grinder welder and trip to the ceramic coating shop can fix that :>

NISMO header fitment
the gasket should not be an issue though, using silicon RTV should work fine :>

NISMO header fitment
I want like 6 of them... as I work for a company that gives me benefits like cheap flights I'm tempted to fly over and get a few... too bad I now have a mortgage... for those who don't know it was this pic that made me obsessed with these.

Operation 240k
Sorry about biting :/ I think your wheels really suit your car. I wanted 15's for my 280zx but Z32 brakes mean I need at least 16's so 16x8's it is

Operation 240k
When a car has a modification done to it in QLD it gets a blue modification plate. Modification to suspension components such as the cross member or cradle as far as I can remember require a modification cert in QLD as dose almost everything in QLD. As far as welding goes I was not putting it down when done correctly it is one of the strongest ways of fastening the structure. I was merely pointing out that it is not "easy to reverse". Unless you have a complete spare rear end just hagging around if and when a cop inspects the car and asks it to be sent to the pits for a detailed inspection, if the car has no modification plate and a bolted in diff you would be able to swap it in for a standard diff. @blk180: I'm just trying to help by giving suggestions that are mechanicly valid and safe as I have been down this thought path with other engineers much older and smarter than myself.

Operation 240k
a kit is a good idea but with such a limited market I'm not sure if it would be worth it also if you were to make it i would suggest making it a bolt on and not weld on affair as this is illegal without blue plates so having it removable is a good way to pass the pits :>

Operation 240k
the R200 short is simply not design to take stresses like that if you want to do it safely build the rear cross-member into a rear sub-frame other wise if you want to be legal spend $$K and get a rear end engineered like Mr Convertible did

Operation 240k
No I don't, but I may be able to fine some. I saw the pic's on OZDAT.com

Operation 240k
humm I have seen similar short nose swaps done and I personally would not do it this way, but if I did I would not have the diff take the load like it is here. My way was going to be a tube frame welded from the rear sub frame and bolted to where the mustache bar bolts onto the chassis. The R200 shortnose (and this R230) are not designed to be use as apart of the structure. Just my 2 cents. (I work with metal a fair bit so I am just trying to give constructive criticism from an engineering stand point)

Wheel options - 240K coupe
from memory mine are 15x6 +15 with 195-70r15 (commodore rubber) and i can barely get my fingers between the guard or strut and the tire. I have the old skool tire bulge going on though so i think you may be able to go bigger rims with stretched tyres :> soopakarr was running DR30 multi spoke wheels (not sure on the dimensions) with 205 rubber and folded gards and it "just" doesn't scrape... still not enough rubber for road tyres and 200+hp :> the back one in this pic is a S13 "tear drop" painted black

Operation 240k
^^^ i agree arabs can't drive... just kidding but yes it did suck to hear that your parts car got stolen. funny story, I think one of my neighbors called kellys wreckers because a guy came to my door asking if my parts car was ready for removal :<

Front Sump Oil Pan
thats just a standard one with extra capacity "ears" welded on (take yours to an engineering shop and ask them to ether make a custom one or weld yours up)
-
S13 coil overs
if you are asking about the above post, (although i have not tested this theory) i dont see why they wouldn't fit i bought my suspension from a 4 door and i expect it to fit. :>

-
[2011] What did you do to/with your S130 today?
i swapped a diff + cv's without taking anything else out :> also i didn't realize until the diff was mostly in that when you go from R180 to R200 you have to rotate the rear mount :< it was fun R200's are real heavy

EOI GT-R flare copy's
so i have been doing 11 hour days 6 days a week and couldn't get round to doing the flares myself took them to a mate of mine (at the time) to get his dad to do it and it seams that this "mate" has gone all weird on me and wont talk to me or anything even though i worked on his car for free and gave him parts and showed him how to do it right...... I F$%^EN HATE PEOPLE RIGHT NOW not to mention stuff i lent him wasn't exactly returned as i had lent it and also dumped in a mate of mines back yard with no warning.... /rant
