production number for 1969
Hi Kats, you always bring great matters to discuss, and now this part is interesting, because I have a Euro 240z, with all the spoilers and specifications from factory and that interests me. I hope you can put more information soon... ALAN, as you know my car has the normal (US and Japan) front turn assemblied in blank colour, not orange, as it is a 1971 and all the others cars that came to Portugal has that 2 types that you mention... I think you know the story, but correct me if iam wrong, i was told that Entreposto in Portugal ordered near 120 240z cars and this was the first and the last shippment of cars to here. Here i can see that with that shippment, were delivery cars with all diferents types of front turn assemblies, the US/japan and the Euro/UK type, and my questions are 1 - Why they delivery cars with the 2 types of turn assemblies in Portugal, knowing the european laws? 2 - Which production date forward Nissan change them? Now, another question that i think its interesting. 3 - Where could be Portuguese cars located, as they were different from anyother market, because all of them received the magnesium 432 wheels that were standard here. Does they were packing apart, with the destination of Portugal?? Hope i can have answer for that Filipe

SKYLINE On sale, not a Z, but beautifull as well
Hi Here goes some rare views of Portuguese Japanese cars... They say they are rare, but we can see that they appears sometimes .... 2 Toyotas 2000 GT 1 Mazda Cosmo - The first 2000 Gt shown (red one) was delivery new in Portugal, some Toyota workers said it was 2, so maybe another will be there in same cave or garage. It is in excelent condition and was at FIL in Lisbon few months ago for show. - The second 2000 GT (white) is a RH drive, and was told that it came from Africa when Portugal lives their lands in Africa in the midle 70`s. It was a doctor that brought it to Portugal and sold it years later. NOTE: the white one is for sale... It only appears this year to the Japanese fans as someone saw it inside a garage.... - The third one is a Mazda Cosmo 110s, series II, that also was found 2 years ago in a -2 stage of a builduing, onwed by an ex-race driver. The story of this car is unknown (YET) as the onwer is a busy guy, but for the big eyes watchers, see the rear amber lights, diferent them all the cars i had seen. the others has the turn lights red... Someone told us weeks ago that this car might be a car show in 70`s and stay here, never went back. Them we have VERY FEW 240Z`S, 2 SKYLINES 2400 GT AND 1 DATSUN PRESIDENT Hope you enjoy pictures and will try to put pics of the Datsun President very soon. FilipeA

240z import questions
Hi Pascal I have seen in mobile web site really nices 240z on sale in Germany, but the last one was for 20.000€ wich is good, it means Z are getting more value in Europe... Anyaway, if you don`t pretend to spend 10.000 € or more in a 240z, them USA will be the way for it. My advices are get someone that you trust to see the car and tell you what it needs to be perfect and them go shopping on Ebay, MSA, Cortesy Nissan Parts, Black Dragon Auto and other more Z stores that can help you in all parts that you might need. As someone told before, a rust free car is the best you can choose, otherwise the bodyshop can take years to be done. Parts sometimes apears in UK Z Club, go check it sometimes and good luck. If you need anything, just tell me i might help you. Here goes a link of pictures of almost 2 years of work on my car. These pics where taken a week ago. http://www.crashed.crxpt.com/details.php?image_id=33467 Cheers Filipe A

Suspension Problems
Hi fixtman I know you have the same problem that i have once before. I have the Hp tokicos blues in my car, both front & rear with the European Stock springs that were standard in all European cars. After a couple of times of road and after 1600 km done in my car this is how it looks. I think it looks very nice and original as well. The shop didn`t do anything to suspension and the tank gas was not full :classic: Any away i still have here the Eibach springs if some day i will put them... I do belive it might have been some mistake with those springs that you had before, but anyaway the car sits a light high to me. Besides that your car looks GOOD Filipe

Emblem Location on Rear BRE Spoiler? _ Poll
Hi Take a look at my rear deck car. I really enjoy it. The way it shows was the way that all standard 240z were delivery in Portugal. Besides that the rear spoiler (Original Nissan Part) has the holes for the corect possition od the "Datsun" and "240z" emblems. FilipeA

Hi That wheels are the magnesium wheels that were standard on the Fairlady 432 and 432-R. Those wheels were standard in every Portuguese 240z`s car at the time. I guess they are rare and beautifull as well. I guess Alan can say a little more about that, but from another conversation with Z experts, i guess Portugal was a lucky country by have them in all Z. Many thanks to all coments here Also if you search on this forum or in Google, you will see lots of pics of the Fairlady 432 and see the wheels, they are the same. Thanks Filipe

Finish it... time to enjoy now
It pass almost 2 years since the car went to the body shop. After spend a lot of €€€ in parts and body work, it went to the road the last week. There is always something to do, but I want to drive it before they (body shop and mechanic) go on holidays, so here it is. I want to say that in this site i found nice people that help me on something that i didn`t understand, (now i speak and read english much better) and i want to say thanks to a special person, that he did something that is unique. He bought parts from me, from MSA, Courtesy Nissan parts, Black Dragon, and someother places, he also let me order parts to his adress and them he packed it all and sometimes he waited about an hour to send parts to me (to Portugal). A special thanks to David Palermo (One_tuff_Z) that help me so much in this project that takes some hours of sleep to search parts. Here goes some pictures, sorry some pictures are not so clear... Thank you all Filipe
