Need pics of triple mikuni linkage-especially from firewall

Get a parts manual and order yourself from your local Nissan dealer - no shipping charges and cheaper parts - being an educated consumer is the only way to go. If you are not willing to educate yourself then the only choice you have (and not saying this directly to Ben's Z, but to anybody reading this) - is buy the item from the seller when you can find it at the buyers price. It's all about being an educated consumer!

Steve- Be sure to review this thread - good stuff and not as much money as you think. I got my support bracket from Wolf Creek Racing. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?30584-Accelerator-linkage-fix-questions

Lokar Throttle Cable - I would strongly recommend this modificaiton to anybody looking to remove the old linkage. Just attach to the gas pedal - through the fire wall - to the carb using the support - pretty straight forward install - no linkage slack at all - no linkage binding period. I'll never go back to the old linkage (I did keep the throttle linkage setup and the SU's, and they are in storage). Let me know if I can explain anything in more detail.

My advise is to do away with the old linkage in it's entirety from the pedal to the carbs..........you'll be glad you did. Check out my garage for info. Just smooth acceleration from stop to go. No more jerking and dead spots in the linkage cause it's not there.

popping through the exhaust at 4500 rpm or so.. HELP!
Stephen - I just stumbled on your thread - I installed Mikuni's last year - you will not regret it at all if you opt to purchase - your engine will wake up and sing - it's a beautiful thing! When I was running my SU's I used only 3n1 oil for my pistons - never had any challenges at all. I believe I was setting my front and rear float levels at different settings though. I don't believe a float setting would cause popping - it would cause hesitation and sputtering - and sever lack of power (like going up a hill and running out of gas). I do have my SU's on a shelf in my garage - if you want to borrow them just pay for insurance and shipping (to and from) and feel free to use them to see if the challenge is your SU's. They are heavy and it may be expensive to ship but they were dead on with performance when I took them off and they are sitting on a shelf and have not been touched. Your call - feel free to PM me if I can assist any. My next purchase this spring is a O2 Sensor - I think it is a must for everybody.

Winter's Projects
Casey - You got me going! Pulled the rear bumper yesterday and got it broken down - ordered rear rubbers and heading to my local chrome shop on Monday Mossy - The rear finisher and front grill was not the same as the factory color of the S30's (if is an off gray/silver color). If you want to do it right -do it the way that Casey is finishing his panels. I took it a step further and when the body shop had my car took the rattle can from Les and had it matched and sprayed on by the body shop and then clear coated.

What Electric Fuel Pump upgrade???
If you are running double's or triples pressurized I would strongly recommend a filter between fuel tank and the electric pump to protect the pump from debris - if you don't make sure all the debris (if any) is filtered and it gets into you electrical pump it can total damage the electrical pump. On your SU carbs most of them have been tinkered with by so many PO's at this time you are lucky to have any inlet filters at all - you better double check before you assume you are protected by a non-existant filter.
