Had two set of Porterfield's - they ROCK!
  3. It was all beautiful until I saw that broken crank!
  4. I bought a totally restored am/fm radio back when I was restoring my interior. Looks and works great along with the power antenna (considering what it is) - after spending several hundred dollars on it I installed a second modern unit in the glove box that is hidden.................the thinks we do for our cars!

I have searched extensively and found nothing other than the picture above.. I'm thinking about adding a 13 row 235mm oil cooler for those hard driving days - and the days not producing higher RPM keep things under a leather wrap. I would also put in a 200 degree thermo with the sandwich unit.

Does anybody have any info on this oil cooler and the leather wrap for it - thanks in advance.
  9. Have you looked to see what you will be taching at 60-65mph with a 3.9 diff matched with your current 4 speed?
  10. Keep us updated - the 5 speed is the way to go if you do any traveling at all. Slipping in 5th gear a 60MPH is a beautiful thing.........and still have plenty of get up and go! My 3.90 diff is great through all the gear changes with the 5 speed. Putting in a 4 speed with the 3.90 may be a little over the top........fyi.

Tell us what you are going to do before you turn that start switch!
  12. I just took delivery for my BMW X6 on tires from Discount Tire Direct but did not use their credit system. I have bought all my tires for the past couple years from them with no issues at all. Never had any issues at all.
  13. Blue - are you doing anything special to your floor before you move in your first tool?
  14. Jerry - If I buy a second dash for my car I'm ringing your phone first - great packing and shipping!
  15. Adds up over time - there are a few items MSA does not discount, I ask as I place my order via phone. That way I make sure the discount is passed to me.
  16. This reproduction is already on the market with one of our members from Japan. 12-J4217 Datsun 240Z Tail lamp Center Molding Set - $149.00 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

Welcome to the group - get ready for a great ride!
  18. Most the time with these type noises the bearings have to be pulled to "feel" what is in default - at that point it is just as easy to replace all of them while you are at it.
  19. Bearings - time for a rebuild. Exact same challenge and noise for me with my 5 speed last month - rebuild fixed it right up.

    Two King Size Sheets -
  21. Gonna have to add to my Christmas list!
  22. I say get the best of both worlds - you may have a great differential, transmission and engine. Grab a good body and start building!
  23. You know there are two different types of S12+8 -one vented / one not vented. The housing looks the same - the width of the span where the rotor goes is the only difference. They come off different years of the Toyota 4 Runner and such. Just a reminder.
  24. I agree with Charles and that is exactly what I did to my hub a few months ago - take it all apart - it just takes a few minutes to pop the studs out and put the others in. Stay safe on the twistys!
