WOW  I have to check that out then. The car literraly ran like a top so I doubt theres a smog issue but you never know untill you look IT didn't smoke as it was running though, no exhaust vissible at all. The tags on it are good till the end of this year if thats a clue or anything. I never had to get a car smogged or tagged so don't know what all that means only that tags a expensive  For those outside of Cali tags are (Califonia Registration stickers we have to buy and put on our license plates from CA DMV), once again  I agree there are alot of good Z's sitting in wrecking and tow yards around here. There was nice Carnival Red 240z sitting on top of a Honda up the the street ( Thank God it wasn't under it) And right now theres a 1983 or so 280ZX in a tow yard that sells Impound stuff. They're asking $550 for it but it looks like the Police were looking for durgs or something. They even Ripped the Rearview mirror off I guess to even take that apart :dead: Good news it supossedly runs whit the Screw Driver method and has a 5 Speed Tansmission. Oh, yes I'm in Northern Cal. Racerville is located just outside of Sacramento

Need tips on Buying 1977 280z Please.
Hello ALL I just got back from the best test drive of my life! The 280 is Straight as an arrow, clean in the engine bay, DASH NO CAP, power with curve and smooth acceleration all the way :classic: Absolutely no fumes in the interrior, wierd noises form the engine and starts on the 1st turn every time. I have to say, "I'm, in , love ". The only thing it needs besides from the above mentioned is that the little box circled in the pic below needs to be adjusted. I don't know what it's called but if any one knows please chime in. Owner said it gives a little whooshing sound, which I couldn't hear or notice, when you step on the gas. He believes it sounded like to much air. P.S. pic is not of actual car, I didn't want to freak out the owner :tapemouth So me and the owner struck a deal in regrards to his asking price. I was willing to pay him what I had now and give him the difference over the next couple of weeks with my pay from work. He decided since I only have X amount now he was willing to give me 2 weeks to come up with the rest and pay him all at one time Since I'm blessed to have a good paying job (No matter how much I hate it) this is a very good deal indeed! Big Shout Outs to the Sblake01 Crew, Sailor Bob, The Bigoaks up there in Ontario, Goodyear, Union 76, the GT rated tires the 280Z rode on, uhhh the stop lights that were green, the seat I sat in and lastly but not least the Clutch, Brake and Gas Pedel Thyanx you all very much for your help and wish me luck ! ~Z~

The 1st General Lee has been found and restored ! ! ! !
I just read a Wikipedia post looking for "The First General Lee" and said he car was repainted after the jump to resemble a wrecked Richard Petty NASCAR stock car and was shown a 2nd and last time as a cameo on the a auto trailer being towed by another General Lee. Theres a clip of that scene with other info on YouTube along with another YouTube video showing the restoration team starting the engine of the restored Lee 1 for the first time. Type in Resurecting the First General Lee and The First General Lee on YouTube and you should find that 2nd video pretty easily. BTW YouTube is loaded with Dukes of Hazard footage of all kinds. Theres even a 2 or 3 part series called Dukes of Hazzard / Return to Hazzard Georgia where some one goes back to Alabama with a Lee showing old show scenes of the Lee followd by the modern day locations with another Lee retracing it's steps. Here goes a few links off top. To go Full screen click the far right hand side box on the video control bar. Buy or Rent the new movie DVD cause you have to watch this Drift screen from the roof of the sky scrappers. We're talking 3 complete uninterrupted full laps stayin sideways! http://youtube.com/watch?v=H3rnFx8Xjos&mode=related&search= "http://youtube.com/watch?v=PptJfjllU2w&mode=related&search="]http://youtube.com/watch?v=PptJfjllU2w&mode=related&search= http://youtube.com/watch?v=mlWXHCtypwA&mode=related&search= Family Guy Spoof ~very funny~ http://youtube.com/watch?v=4_gDC_B1a1A River Jump Scene and Resurection http://youtube.com/watch?v=W5TIuusfojY&mode=related&search= Jumps JUumps and LOTS OF THEM http://youtube.com/watch?v=nzFT1THAdyg Two and a Half minute Burn out http://youtube.com/watch?v=4Zf4DAXJWhY Real Life Hill Race ~Z~

The 1st General Lee has been found and restored ! ! ! !
Nah,.. It wouldn't be the same car. It would be a car with a tag from the actual car that did the actual jump and IS the Originally General Lee. Kind of like taking the Size Tag off your T-Shirt and sewing it on another claiming it was the same shirt you bowled a perfect game in. I have to admit they did a Great Job. So good I believe anything is saveable now with the right parts including the worst of Z's. And Yep me to! My favorite shots besides the jumps of course were always the camera views of the front wheels as they were counter steering during the chases while drifting on those dirt roads. The approach sequence of Lee Charging towards that creek were it does that HUGE jump in the opening credits reminds me of the same sequence when the Train crashes through Chicago Station in the Movie SILVER STREAK starring Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. I remember every day at Grandmas it was a steady line up of Dukes of Hazard and monster truck rallys with Big Foot. You remember the good old days where trucks were actually made of heavy gauge steal and they dind't just roll over the cars they actually CRUSHED them? Grandpa even drove the same model Ford as Big Foot with a camper hatch we used for going fissing in :classic: AHHHH the good ol days :cheeky: ~Z~

The 1st General Lee has been found and restored ! ! ! !
YOYO Check this out ! The vey first GENERAL LEE Dodge Charger (VIN #XF29H9DI936Y0) (Serial # LEE 1) has been found and restored earlier this year :) ! ! I'm not sure if I'm seeing the VIN tag correct but I included some photos and the Link to the website. It would be cool if some one here knew how or know a person who can translate the VIN tag to see what options the Charger came with originally. I know it's not Z realated but still this is good car history here The first 3 pictures are from the same and very first jump, the one at the end of the openning credits! http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=119349#45 ~Z~

Need tips on Buying 1977 280z Please.
Hi Bob ! The Guys out zof town till Sunday so can't get any pics till then if he let me. The car was parked on the street fornt of his house on my walk home from work for about a week. I was able to get his phone number of the for sale sign and gave a call tiday to set a date to go by and take a look. For the time it was parked on th estreet I was able to at preety much every single inch of it except under the wheel wells coming to think of it. There was no Rust under the back near the muffler, on the muffler, under the rocker panels, front near the lower valence, Hood and rear Hatch, hood vents, inspection lids, No where at all that I can find and I looked really hard. Suspension seems to held up great as it has an almost muscle car stance. I had the chance to see it drive by me down the street and it rides almost like a Caddilac :cheeky: (I know, sacrilage) Like I said before though, the paint has zero rust bubbles and only has some minor crazing and cracking of the Original paint from the California Sun The speedo shows only 70,000'ish miles which from appearence of the car seems to be correct. Obviously it looks like someone took very good care it. OH, I would of got the VIN but the sale sign was on the dash laying over it. ~Z~

Need tips on Buying 1977 280z Please.
YO! I made an oppointment to meet the seller of nice looking 4 Speed 1977 280Z here in California. I was wondering is there anything I need to look at besides the usual rust areas on the car? It's in pretty solid shape ( No rust suprisingly on the outside) and all it really needs from the outside appearances is a paint job. It does have that side rocker panel aluminum trim, mint interior besides needing new seat covers and door panel inserts (maybe new carpet later), Uncracked dash (I know, Amazing!), Mint gauges, OEM green 4 Speed H pattern shift knob, Hood vents and inspection lids. All in all it's a really nice looking car and I hope it checks out so I can bring it home :classic: Any help on mechanicles or anything at all would be Arigato Gozaimasu'ed (Thank You'd Very Much) ~Z~

Rally Clock ~ Clocks ~
Check your PM's people... It's been a couple of days and I'm still waiting on some folks to Reply who have visted the website a few times already since then. Some of who are currently up for thier turn now I just like to make sure everyone has their fair chance and oppertunity. And not passed up on mistake from me assuming there was a lack of interest :rambo: :stupid: I'm finding out that some members would like to wait on a 2 Knob Clock with Osci while other members would to have a 2 Knob Clock now and willing to wait for a Osci at a later date. So I'm updating my list of each members needs with this Info based on this current set of replys, allowing me to go directly to specific members when the type of Clock set up they want arrives in the future. This is the last bit of info I need on what you all like to have in specific and will greatly speed up the process for us next time Thyanx Again All ~Z~
