  1. From what I can tell, the Nissan 240 and 180 are the same vehicle, with the exception of engine size. Just another vehicle we didn't get here in the US. The kit seems to be a 3 off, not just a one off, though it would be interesting to know where the kit came from. "This rare example of the Nissan 180 was imported and complied in Aus in 2000 This is the only known gt bodied car in Australia with a bright pink car in England and a lime green car in Japan. It has the CA18DET Turbo motor with the mild tune work as it left Japan."
  2. Thought this might be of interest... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220060591927&indexURL=1#ebayphotohosting

Now there is a Yellow 240z, still #120, and still number 36 of 38.

I've been looking for a larger (1:10ish) R/C Datsun model for some time. All I find are these, which are NLA or out of stock. Perhaps I'll settle for the little one. http://www.etamiya.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=105_108&products_id=7280&osCsid=208f32848c2c69c52ee1530f1a87f4d1 http://www.etamiya.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=105_108&products_id=7279 the first link is for a ZG, the second for a Rallye edition
  5. Here ya go-type in Piston Ring in the search box, to pluralize it (rings) gives 0 results. http://www.thezstore.com/store/merchant.mvc? 10-4171 Performance Piston Ring Set, L28 Engine Standard Size $68.45 I'm sure there are others, but this is a start. While you are busy assembling, you might want to order some of these: http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=7 http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=32 http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=27 http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=20 I assume you already know about the engine oil bypass kit...

 Makes sense, I guess, since they did start out as the Government Employee Insurance Company. I guess I'll start looking around come end of policy time (if not before).

Maybe these are what you're looking for-if that's the case, I doubt you (or any of us) could afford them! How about these? (different than thumbnail) http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/FeatureImages/Tokyo2006/Stores/AsoBitCity/P2276956.jpg.html No, seriously, I think these might be it, and I don't know, but there is something reeallyy creepy about them. http://members.atlantic.net/~pewter/npage1.htm http://www.burns62.com/cornerdolls/index.html I tell ya, when you google "life size toy doll" some really odd results display.

Don't forget about the window Louvers, baby. Be a Louver, not a hater... (to be said with your best impersonation of Barry White or Isaac Hayes)

Randy, it's always good to be careful, I'm heading into Small Claims Court for exactly the reason you have listed. You do have the benefit, however, of having been recommeded to this particular shop by someone who genuinely knows his stuff, not to mention that this shop speciallizes in our line of autos. Still, Caution is always needed, and second opinions (when available) are always good to get.

TomoHawk, are you trying to get around the 2 person carpool requirement so you can drive in the "priviliged" lane?

Currently, I'm with Geico. Since I have a multi-car policy, having full coverage on the ZX proved quite reasonable, only about 10 bucks more for 6mos over my liability coverage from the 92 Accord (I miss 35-40mpg) that was used as trade. I have used Progressive, Farmers, State Farm, Mercury, Allstate, probably some others. The rate you are given all depends on where you live (ZIP CODE), what you drive, and how you've driven in the past. Check around, that's all I can say. You may be able to find better deals by actually going into an insurance peddler's office than calling a faceless entity.

All the President's Men had several, though I think they were the same, just filmed from different angles, mostly overhead shots down into a parking lot, or head angle shots for city driving-one each-green, red, brown (or blue). Commando-several of differing years (i.e. 240-260-280z, 280zx, plus some other nice cars)

crazy idea here, but if the edges have been rounded off by the wrench, how about using a ratchet and breaker bar? I might think that if there are still six decent flat edges, and you were able to grasp all six together, you might be able to get around not having 6 defined corners ... Of course I could be completely off base here, but it may be worth trying...
  15. US $368.61 Well bought, Jerry, well bought!
  16. For your consideration-Original Triple Webber Carbs! This is a 71 Datsun 240z HLS30 MFG, Date 5/71 One of 50 in this special run series. Now I don't know a lot about this car as it was inherited to me. But I will tell all that I know about it, you can email me what questions you might have about it. There is a triple carb. on this which are webber. The body does have rust but is straight. All original everything, it currently does not run and would have to be trailored. The engine is a big inline 6 cylinder 3 carb. Yes it has the original triple carb. Wide fender wells, all tires are flat some badly damaged. The battery is gone, all ignition wires are also gone. It was running before these were removed so it does run. The reverse gear in tranny is totally ground off, as well as the idler gear, the hydraulic cylinder on the clutch engagement in not working. Otherwise the pictures say most everything else http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/71-Datsun-240Z-hls30-project-car_W0QQitemZ270066316175QQihZ017QQcategoryZ6187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

  19. It shouldn't make that much of a difference. Here is a page out of my FSM (for a zx), that might give you a couple places to check. I'm sure others will chime in with more relevant help. EVEN BETTER: from atlanticz.ca (great tech reference) the EFI Bible http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/efisystem/280zfuelinjectionbook.pdf
  20. don't you have a different car you could sell? If you can't put this one in storage for a short time, then sell off the other, use this one to move to your new job.

Welcome to the club, you're not the first person to have gotten bogged down with other things, wishing that you could get back to the project. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24044 Just remember, if it was easy, it wouldn't be worth it.

Those are beautiful, glad you were able to get them posted. Now, if you go to the USER CP section, you can go about loading photos into your personal gallery, and load a photo to use as your Avatar. I'm sure everyone here would like to see all that documentation, and your photo gallery is the place to show them, and preserve them for posterity...

Welcome to the Club, I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here! When I first signed up, I too had problems uploading. The problem I had all was resolved when I scaled down the image file size. I've not had a problem since. Maybe that will help.
