Id kinda like to strip off any non essentials off my engine (a/c, smog, etc.) in order to get rid of some weight and clean up my engine compartment. Its FI and Id like to keep anything vacuum actuated working properly.

Anyone seen any tutorials regarding this?

oh yeh, my cars 2 years out of smog regulation so that isnt a problem :-)
