Up for sale is my 1977 Datsun 280z with a white interior located in Phoenix, AZ. I originally bought it in 2020 from a gentleman in Tucson, AZ who bought it from the original owner and was just reselling it. The original owner had passed away and the family sold it to the gentleman I bought it from. Prior to me buying it the last tags were from 1992 so it had been sitting for a very long time. During that time it acquired a really cool patina that is unique with absolutely no deep rust on the car. There is absolutely zero rust gremlins on this car besides light surface rust in the more weathered areas. I provided some old photos of the trunk and doors to show what I mean.

The interior was restored with some touches such as the seat embroidery and competition spec wooden steering wheel

My goal over the past 6 years was to create a unique driver's car. I cared less about the paint and much more about the suspension, engine, and interior. For anyone buying this car it truly only needs a nice paint job or clearing the patina and you will have yourself a pretty sweet looking ride.

This car is by no means perfect, but has excellent bones for anyone who is handy in the automotive industry and wants a drivers car to go rip around on the weekends. I am only selling because I joined the Navy and no longer live in Arizona, and I am unwilling to take this car near the ocean where rust can take its course. I have hundreds of photos of what has been modified/ restored for the next owner. I also have a custom wiring diagram for how the new fuel injection system was set up. I am really sad to let it go as it represents hundreds and hundreds of hours of work but such is life.

As of now the ECU has been acting up, thus why the price was dropped even with all the desirable mods and little to no rust. The ECU is something I can fix, but I don't have access to it in PHX AZ to figure out what is going on. You can look on my profile to see a long paper on the ECU. The car is a perfect candidate for someone to just slap on a Haltech ECU have it tuned, and get on the road for long trips.

Price is $11,500.
