Will an L28 engine bolt directly to a original 240Z Automatic Transmission? I am looking to use the Z for Bracket Racing and the automatic trans will provide the greatest continuity between runs.

What modification, if any need to be made?

Yes, a 240Z auto (3n71b) will bolt to the back of an L28.

For serious dragging with consistancy, why would you run anything else?
