vacuum control knob

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where the vacuum control knob is located under the dash? Trying to get everything back together. It has two vacuum lines going to it and a switch that's labeled open - close

I recently replaced the vacuum hose from the vacuum accumulator on the right side of the engine compartment. It provided the vacuum for my air conditioning and when it would split, there would be no air blowing from the vents. It fed throught the fire wall and connected behind the radio console.

I removed the plastic panel in the passenger footwell covering the blower motor and the radio console. There are small panels on each side of the radio console that need to be removed before you can get to the radio console screws. It's a good idea to replace the other vacuum lines while you're there.

Really a pretty simple fix and took me a couple of hours.

Mine is located in the panel directly below the ignition switch. But what does that control knob do, or control?
