Did a search but didn't find much about this subject.

I am curious how many different ratios differentials came in a 72 240 with a 4 speed? Looking in the haynes manual it shows 3.9 as the only one available. Is this true?

240Z rear diff (R180) ratios were 3.36 for the 4speed, and 3.55 for the automatic.

3.9 (R200) showed up in the 280ZX manuals, and are a common performance swap to a 240Z..

The 3.9 R180 was installed in European, Australian, and Japanese 240Zs.
