Thanks for reminding me, I'll check on that. I did think I heard something that could have been a vacuum leak when I was working on them last.

UPDATE: All Fixed!

So I bought the ZT DVD. And it was a great help.

I set the valve lash cold, then hot. Then partially disassembled and cleaned the carbs. Then tuned em like shown in the video. It ran great in the garage, but terrible out on the street.

I put two and two together and figured if it was running so well in neutral, but bogging under load my plug wires may be no good. So I picked up some new NGK wires from NAPA and whaddya know?

She runs like a top now!

Thanks for the advice 88, but one of the points of this forum is sharing knowledge about how to fix these cars yourself.

If you read the last post, I stated that I had fixed my issue and all was right with the world.

Come on Jon! He/it is a spammer or at very least some type of PRM.......(i.e. cheesy link in signature that has no relevance to this site)

I had seen that one before on another site. We get them from time to time. Not so much on this site but enough so on others I'm on that I recognize the names when I see them.
