Will a 280 dash bolt into a 240? I have searched but not found any info. I know the wiring is different and the heater controls are different also. I have a complete 280 dash without cracks and I would like to see if I cna swap it for my cracked 240 dash. I have both the console and the dash. Has anyone done this swap?

I've seen it done. Usually done because the 280Z dash is deeper than the 240Z dash, so the 280Z dash has room for the factory A/C. Of course you have to also change the center console to mate up with the dash.

It's a good swap if you want good A/C and don't care about keeping the 240Z original.
